    Had the quintessential British theme.

We do good things, usually at our best when it matters & then in a self effacing way we take the piss out of our selves to deflect just how important we've been to the world.

    I like us!

    Good job.

Went to see them in Wembley, love 'em. I thought the same!

With the whole of the United Kingdom feeling this patriotic...now would be the time to invade France. <ok>

Dannys subvertive message to Cameron <ok> the NHS is something good

Great tunes (even a bit of Pistols for Her Maj)

    The Queen looking bored <laugh>

A fabulous flame and no superstar lighting it.

A feckin huge British team considering our population <ok>

Fair to say £50 mill for one night should get you a bloody good show...but for the price of a floppy haired spanish ladyboy I can't grumble.

I loved the ceremony... I'm happier that I didn't get called in to work (as are the rest of the UK), Hopefully I'll enjoy this games although it's going to be a busy one. I've had Team London Bridge, LOCOG, The City of London Police & The Cabinet office on my back all week ensuring all of their comms are set up, ensuring everything is in place in case a major incident were to occur and making sure people are trained on our software modules... Why do people leave it to the last minute to organise emergency incident management when the biggest sporting event to ever hit the UK is about to begin?

I've been working non-stop (I've remotely logged in to my work pc now) I can't believe how many companies have left it so late to sort out their continuity procedures should there be a major incident, hopefully the games should go ahead without issue and without me having to go in to the office at silly o'clock

yeah, working 9-5 then I have 2 blackberry's for out of hours support. - We need to kick on and start well if we want to be anywhere near the top of the medals table... It will be an achievement if we finish top 3. I'd like Murray to win the Tennis Gold

I thought it was quite powerful.. Although the rest of the world must still be trying to puzzle together what actually happened <laugh>

A fleet of Mary Poppins attacking a giant Lord Voldermort, how very British <ok>

I wonder if the rest of the world will get the bit where Her Maj flew in on the chopper to the sound of The Dambusters <whistle> no wonder the German fella was giving his "salute" a bit later <laugh>

I thought it started slow then got a lot better.

The section about British music was very good. We have had some quality bands over the years.

Ending was excellent too with the shells.

    Happy.

thought it was kitch especailly with sir kennth hamming it up and the queen thing was embaressing. but the music section was quite good. unfortunalety abide with me was sung dreadfully poorly, needed a soprano there.

but guys if some guy is revealed sitting at a cheap computer table you do have to question... that was hilariously bad.

but really the torches were class...

mixed bag for me. the music bit saved the whole thing and the use of interactive technology in the stadium allowed us to be original which is vital following the chinese trillions spent. a lot to be proud of but perhaps some people round the world would have just been laughing or shaking their heads at the start as frowning dirty serfs strode about....

hopefully its a clean, successful games without controversy and they say "best games ever" at the end.

One thing i'm kind of laughing at is the bbc breakfast thing where we see a scrub land and a fence as their view of the park where people "run" oh they're fmaous!
