This could develop into a very close affair.
4 tied for the lead, including Westwood, Fleetwood,Holmes.
And it looks like tomorrow's weather conditions will make it tougher.
edit: Lowry is t'other

Lowry - superb 63, marvelous round all round.
Good on him, he had to have a brilliant round to edge away from Fleetwood 's excellent performance.

Bring on tomorrow. Rain or shine ! Or blow the house down ?

Lowry looking good....but he blew the US Open a few years back when leading by four on the last day. Apparently the forecast for tomorrow is BAD..so all still to play for.

Same here. Looks like a Major could elude him. He's had a lot of top few finishes hasn't he. Maybe just doesn't have the bottle to finish it?
It's not that he had a bad round yesterday, more that he couldn't match the superb play of Lowry and to some extent Fleetwood.
Unfortunately as both you & John say, he may well miss out on what is likely to be his last chance to grab a major.

Well, they say if you can learn from "failure" then failing is a very constructive device. Lowry was four up beginning the last round of the 2016 US Open at Oakmont and crumbled to a bone crushing +6 final round. Today, he seemed to be in control all the way. Well done Tommy, your day will come.

Well done Shane Lowry, he held it together very well. Could be a fair bit of the black stuff put away in Ireland tonight!
