I am prompted to steal Franklin D. Roosevelt's iconic quote after watching that excuse for a football match between Barnsley and West Ham. Anyone who seriously fears we can hold our own in the Championship, either with our current squad, or with one enhanced with a few players of Wordsworth's quality would have been deeply relaxed by this display of mediocrity and ineptitude. It was terrible. Barnsley are without doubt the most clueless side I've seen anywhere this season and if West Ham do fluke an elevation into the Prem, Heaven help them. Let's get this promotion sorted out, enjoy a calm and satisfying close season and then rip into the Championship like a herd of gorillas on speed. Come On You Reds!
I didnt watch it Tewkes, but i saw Cardiff v Wet Spam a couple of weeks ago, and it was a dreadful game, both sides werent exactly very inspiring. Maybe Wham reaching their own level ? I know they dont like the footy that Big Sam is dishing up for them.
Dont forget its getting to the stage of the season where some teams have nothing to play for and players are already thinking about their summer holidays. Maybe some people saw our performance at Leyton Orient and think they'll have nothing to worry about when we go up because we wont be good enough to hold our own in the Championship
