From dead line day is that we never lost colo or tiote. Yes we have signed a few decent players but as far as dead line day goes and the way the club now operate, no body leaving is a relief. That is the only positive for me though.

You just HAD to sign a striker and you didn't.

You didn't have to sign one for goals, or to appease the fans, you had to sign one to see where your team would go with one.

By the time the window opens in January, even if you're still floating around the top half of the table, it will be very hard to attract a top quality striker, teams just don't like doing business in January, especially not for their goal scorers.

So now you're looking at summer, and another bunch of disheartened players, you can probably add Coloccini, Simpson, Jonas, Tiote, Cabaye to the Nolan, Barton and Enrique brigade of ship jumpers. If these guys keep you up, and have a good season, they're off, 100% guaranteed.

Why would a professional footballer carry on believing lies from his boss? Would you stay at your job if you were on £5 an hour and he kept promising a pay rise twice a year that never materialised? No you wouldn't.

You lot will continue to turn up in your 40,000's and 52,000 for the derby and Mike will continue to laugh at you, he'll sell you shirts that he's having made in sweat shops for pennies for £40 and you'll continue to hoover them up and line his pockets, because you think it's getting behind your players that counts, and that's why Mr Ashley will continue to stick around and get called a FCB for many years, because name calling is all it is ever going to be, even if and when you get relegated again.
