The only mistake was pre-season.

All in all I believe the team has done "reasonably" okay vs Man Utd and Tottenham, I didnt expect wins and was hoping for a draw or two but that didnt happen.

We have been superb in the euro cup and the only controversy here was how bad the teams we have played really are. The thing is that the pre-season games left us without a real clue to how the team and individual players were in terms of quality in regard to the premiership, they were fitness games without any real resistance, Reading away was probably the toughest game.

I still fail to understand why we didnt opt for more competitive games during pre season like many other teams, injuries are ofcourse a factor to consider but I would still have liked to see us against what is considered to be equal opposition.

Anyone actually know why Swansea opted for minor opponents during pre season? .. was there a specific reason?

Europa games started our season a few weeks earlier than usual and might have been more competitive.
