New to this site so take it easy guys! The 'supposed takeover' is anyones guess, we all have our wishes for the club and people may have seen Rollers and Ford Cortinas down at the ground but in reality we are all kept in the dark! This has been the case since Bernie and Flav took control so no surprises there! The lack of activity in the transfer market suggests to me, that maybe, just maybe there may be some truth to the rumours! All this doesnt help potential signings want to join our club and i cant blame them. Lets be realistic, we are not going into the Premier league to win it, but to survive! In my humble opinion we need a few players adding to do that. We won the league last season!!! and could have beaten many of the bottom 8 teams from the Premier league. The main stumbling block for a club like ours is wage demands from over-rated players and agents! The established, experienced or even free agents all demand silly money nowadays! I believe we have to pick the better players from last seasons championship or look to reserve team players from premiership teams. We want to be optimistic but need to be realistic!!!!
Totally agree bazza. If you look at it with a sensible head..................forget about arsenal/chelsea/united.....................basically there are five or six teams who are gonna be fighting the bit out on the last day of the season..................wolves/wigan/swansea/norwich/west brom and us. If we forget about trying to compete with the big guns for a while, and focus on this 'mini league'. C'mon, there's a reasonable chance that even with the current squad, we can finish above 3 of those teams.
welcome aboard barry... just wish everything is sorted soon.. new shirt and sponsor would be a start.. how hard can it be to release a new shirt for gods sake or at least say we are so unsponsorable next seasons shirt has billy no mates on it
The question we've got to ask ourselves for if were asked are we going to stay up is, are there 3 teams who are worse than us?
Everything is so 'cloak and dagger' at the moment! I am from Yorkshire and go to quite alot of away games but only one or two home games! The ticket price doesnt doesnt concern me, but to those who frequent Loftus Rd, surely they expect to see some incredible talent on display for the prices they pay! The old saying 'you pay for what you get' doesnt quite reflect the Qpr situation as it stands!
hard to say at the moment...oh go on then ...19 teams worse than us must admit at the moment i would be very very happy with 17th place
The problem is we are not getting the pick of the Championship players. We missed out on Graham / Morrison and now look to miss CMS.
