Watching match of the day, obviously we struggling for goals and watching Campbell lead the line for palace, was very vocal at the time for letting him go for 800 k ish.

    Ally Mcoist was another.

So firstly us, players we didn't keep on who went onto great things

Secondly, other teams?? Ie barca, fabregas first time and the centre half they resigned from man utd ( forgot his name) age thing

I certainly miss the days of Welbeck, Gyan and Bent terrorising defences. It was one of the few lineups in recent memory that I felt would have genuinely scared the opposition. Now we're about as scary as a kitten, until the hypothetical time that Fletcher and Wickham hit form.

Even Bentdner (Arsenal) was o k, we need to have all 3 up front against Stoke and go for it, then nobody can say he did not play him/them, but they would probably get in each others way.

Peter Reid has admitted that he tried to sign Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic twice when he was manager of Sunderland ten years ago.

Ibrahimovic scored four goals to beat England last Wednesday, prompting praise from all quarters.

Reid said that he tried to sign the 31-year-old when he was at Ajax, after previously failing with a bid when the forward was at Malmo.

"When he was at Ajax, I went to Amsterdam and offered £7m for him," Reid told the Daily Star. "It was the second time I tried to take him to Sunderland.

"We were also in for him when he was at Malmo.

"Imagine what a signing he would have been, everywhere he goes his teams wins the league."

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger also admitted this week that he tried to sign Ibrahimovic when he was just sixteen.

I remember when we were in from him. We were also in for Et'o once upon a time.

Some wow names on there, zlatan eh, doesn't stay anywhere long but that's the standout. Agree regards Jordan, good money but maturing into a very very good midfielder
