20 years ago to the night, Robert Gilvenny, known to pals as Rab, finally snapped after years of torment in the old sewage works in Glasgow. Three men, who will remain nameless for now, were gunned down in cold blood, two of them working the night shift at the old sewage works, the other, in his own home. The killer was Rab Gilvenny, but what drove the seemingly hardworking, honest man to murder 3 co-workers in cold blood? For many years, during the lunch breaks, Robert would bite into the sandwiches, made and packed the night before by his loving wife Marie, only to find that the filling had been replaced by raw sewage and excrement. Robert, the quiet man that he was, said nothing, but he could hear the sniggers all around him in that old sewage work canteen. This went on most days, one would have thought Robert would check the sandwiches before eating them, but the unassuming nature of the man was to be his downfall. Night after night, Robert went home to brush his teeth, but some say the taste never left, and Marie started to avoid him becuase of the smell of his breath. The workplace bullying at the old sewage works didnt stop there, if it wasnt the lunch being tampered with, Robert would go to put his boots on before leaving in the evening, only to find them filled with raw sewage, from the old sewage works sewage tanks. After a couple of weeks of this, Roberts feet began to stink permanantly of a foul putrid smell. Marie had finally had enough and kicked Robert out of the bed and onto the old tea stained couch downstairs, with nothing but a ripped old pillow and a long coat for warmth in those cold nights. One day, Robert snapped. He came across a handgun, he bought from a shady character he knew from the old sewage works. The next day, in the old sewage works canteen, Robert opened his lunchbox, by now he was packing his own lunch, and again found the **** smeared sandwiches. He turned round and caught two men laughing, and he opened fire. Two men shot dead in the old sewage works canteen, was the headline the next day, its only later transpired that Robert had went to the home of a co-worker and put a bullet right between his eyes. That night, Robert went home to Maria, only to find her sleeping with his boss from the old sewage works, Robert put the second last bullet in Marie, then thought for a second what to do with the last bullet. He decided to do himself in and leave the old sewage works boss to tell the tale. How do I know all this? Because I was the old sewage works boss.
This information has been lost over the years but some believe that he still sits in that canteen every lunch break.
That part is a joke obviously, the name is made up aswell but the story is true, they used to put **** on his pieces and in his boots, the guy ended up murdering 3 of them.
If you don t realise that the ****s you are working with are going to stitch you up after day 2, join the Union and submit a grievance .....
ive been looking for **** on google about it, just found it there. It was a shotgun he used, and it was in the canteen!! His name was Peter McMurray http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/2078945.stm
At the High Court in Glasgow, the judge, Lord McEwan, added 10 years to the 20-year sentence originally given to Peter McMurray, a worker at a sewage plant at Bothwell, who killed three colleagues with a shotgun. McMurray, from Hamilton, was found guilty in 1985 at the High Court in Airdrie and sentenced to a minimum of 20 years. He walked into the sewage works at Bothwell after a long standing dispute with one of his colleagues, Alex Sexton, and shot him twice as he sat in the works canteen having a cup of tea. McMurray then shot William Burns and William McIntosh. Lord McEwan described the crime as one of the "worst possible cases" and said he would be failing in his duty if he did not set the highest possible tariff for the crimes.
from another site "Peter McMurray gunned down three workmates at sewage works in Bothwell, Lanarkshire, in 1985. The killer snapped after being bullied and harassed by colleagues. He brought a gun to work and calmly pumped eight shots into his work mates"
