In all the years I went to Portman Road (Living in Devon and working weekends makes it kinda difficult!) the only trouble I ever experiences was in 1980 when, leaving the ground and walking towards the guy with the football programme stand, I was stopped by a Liverpool fan who put his hand out and sneered at me "Give me your scarf or I'll break your arm." Country borders are simply lines on a map. As are county borders. Ethnic background is simply an extension of where someone's family are from. The irony stands. And yes; 'regionalism' is just as bad as racism. The measure is the intent to offend. Not my opinion, that's a legal precedent.

JWM and welly, I have to say I'm very disappointed in you, you've both been made very welcome ion your visits to the yellow half of the region, we've enjoyed the partaking of some good banter, but you now both appear to have abandoned the hand of friendship and taken a more angered stance! I shall not visit again!
Come on Dave and PC. You are all welcome but you will get banter... PC chose to leave and then was chanted off... not the same thing as being unwelcome at all. For the record I don't think regionalisation is as bad as racism but for the sake of Beef's hypocritical comments ill say its probably far worse. I think with both our sides in precarious positions its made the banter all the more enjoyable lately.
