Call me keen but in my eyes its time to bring the the official F1 band wagon into town, the 2012 F1 season is here!!! Albert Park has been around since 1996 (well as a F1 track) and is seen by many as the classic F1 opener. Current drivers who have won here include: Vettel Button Hamilton Räikkönen Alonso and Schumacher The season is lining up to be a potential classic so start your engines. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image Fri 25 March 2011 Practice 1 01:30 - 03:00 Practice 2 05:30 - 07:00 Sat 26 March 2011 Practice 3 03:00 - 04:00 Qualifying 06:00 Sun 27 March 2011 Race 07:00 although the TV adds say 6am

*** Streams: *** Firstrow Sports VIPBox
I'm hoping Hamilton can get his season off to a great start but I fear Red Bull might get in the way of that.
Going for the underdogs. Kimi. Very unlikely, i even think Grosjean will beat him, why did i put Kimi? Stupid me.
I just feel the mclaren is the most solid and it seems best suited and designed for Hamilton. So Hamilton to win!
Aussie! Aussie! Aussie! OI! OI! OI! Always hated that chant, but I'll make an exception today. We're back baby!!! Actually I was going to start them up on Friday.
Vettel's best track in my opinion, and I expect Red Bull to be the frontrunners again, so I selected Vettel, then accidentally clicked view poll results, wondered why my vote didn't register, realised what a fool I'd been and then did it properly.
Vettel's best track? Hasn't he only ever finished the Australian GP once? please log in to view this image
with nothing else to base predictions on, u just have to say fingerboy because of last year's dominance. testing never reveals much and i expect him to pick up where he left off, albeit with a much stronger hamilton challenge
Alexander Wurz's predicted pecking order: Pecking order: 1.RedBull, 2.McLaren, 3.Mercedes, 4.Ferrari, 5-9. Lotus/ForceIndia/Williams/Sauber/TorroRosso, 10+ rest Interesting that he feels Mercedes is quicker than Ferrari even if they do have tyre problems at this time, or the issue at the big red team is REALLY! serious now.
I'm staying blindly optimistic until Melbourne Q3. We've been deceived many times before in testing. Alonso was smiling in his TV interview yesterday and Gary Anderson and Peter Windsor have made positive comments about the F2012. The car has handling issues but that doesn't mean it's a slow car. At best, I think Alonso can fight with McLaren in qualifying, not in the race though. I also think McLaren are further behind Red Bull than most believe.
I picked Massa, for a laugh. I genuinely haven't got a clue about who'll win. Lotus look good, Red Bull look good, McLaren look good, Ferrari are definitely holding back some pace. I still think the Merc is crap though.
