So far our team of favourites consists of Shay Given and Jose Enrique, next for a right back.

It's a flip between Barton and Watson, but Barton edges it for me

Warren Barton! Love the guy even more since watching him present Fox Soccer cos he genuinely loves it when Newcastle win and has to try disguise his happiness.

By the way are you going to be doing multiple choice when it gets to positions like midfield? Will be impossible to choose otherwise.

Could do right winger, left winger, defensive midfielder and attacking midfielder? Will have to do multiple choice for strikers though.

Centre Backs and Strikers will be one vote with the top 2 getting the places. Although I may change Strikers to two if theres a Shearer white wash.

    My favourite backline:

Perch - Boumsong - Bramble - Babayaro (or maybe Carr...)

True, would still be a tough one though. It's not the end of the world to leave out Ryan Taylor or Steve Watson but once we get to midfield we have Rob Lee, Beardsley, Solano, Robert, Dyer, Tiote, Ginola, Speed just off the top of my head here. Several of them played in different positions and also it would be insanely hard for me to choose between most of them - except Beardsley who obviously gets my vote for whichever poll he gets put in.

Hughes probably warrants a place ahead of Griffin

Griffin for that goal v Juve for me, brilliant memory. Obviously not the best of those listed, but that and the belter he scored in the PL around the same time are fond memories.

Is this the best RB of the decade or something like that? If he's based from 2000 - to NOW.. thne Hughes takes my pick for RB. Consistent, reliable and solid. Very good defender!

Always an underrated player, we missed him when he was out during the 04/05 season, yet Souness still didn't seem to rate him.

Supposed to be your favourite RB from PL era. I figured you were supposed to pick the best one over your favourite so picked Shay instead of Pavel in the GK poll, was gutted when I was told otherwise :(
