Hello and welcome to the official Not606 match thread for Monday's Barclays Premier League encounter between Fulham and Liverpool. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image Season So Far. I'll start with the home team. Fulham have had an indifferent start to the 2011/2012 season. Martin Jol's side currently sit 15th in the Premier League table with 12 points from 13 games. Fulham's season has mainly consisted of draws with 6 draws from their 13 league games. However, they have got draws at Arsenal, Chelsea and a point at home to Manchester City. These are games in which Fulham aren't expected to get anything so 3 points from them 3 games is an excellent return in my opinion. They have picked up two wins this season with one of them being an outstanding 6-0 victory at home to Queens Park Rangers. Fulham striker Andy Johnson got a hat-trick that day which was undoubtedly Fulham's best game of the season. As you can see from their games, Fulham have picked us results against the teams in the top 7 of the Premier League so Liverpool will need to be at the top of their game in order to gain the three points. And i'll move onto the away team. Liverpool have had a solid start to the season. We currently sit 6th in the Premier League table with 23 points from 13 games. Highlights of our season include two wins over Chelsea in the space of 10 days and away wins at Arsenal & Everton. Liverpool's problem has been against the teams in the bottom half with draws at home to Swansea & Sunderland costing Liverpool. Our Carling Cup run have given us a good platform going into the League games with wins over Exeter, Brighton, Stoke & Chelsea putting us into the semi-finals and giving us confidence going into the Premier League games. Injury News. Fulham are without Damien Duff, Steve Sidwell, Orlando Sa, Simon Davies & Zdenek Grygera. Liverpool are without Lucas Leiva, Steven Gerrard and Jack Robinson. Taken from http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php Fulham 0 - 0 Liverpool Fulham: Teams will be added in due course. Liverpool: Teams will be added in due course. Hope you all enjoy the game! YNWA.
Seriously though, this is a MUST win game. All our rivals have picked up 3 points today: Spurs will easily put the game to bed against a poor Bolton side (Who are down to 10 men). Arsenal are playing Wigan and currently 2-0 up. Chelsea have already bagged the 3 points earlier today. These are the 3 teams we need to look out for and we need to keep up with them. Manure will always get top 4 but as always c'mon Villa!

After today's results, we have to win at Fulham to keep pace, our away form has been good so we can but Arsenal, Chelsea, and Spurs are all on 3-0 and probably plus wins today.
Cheers Chris, nice to see the training pics. Good to see Jonjo back - although shame about the circumstances! ;(
Fulham's form after Europa games has been poor and our recent form has been decent so think we'll win this won. Great chance to really close the gap on 4th place as well.
I have to agree with everyone else. This is a must win game. We need to climb the table and to do that we need to consistantly beat (by hook or by crook) the 'lower' teams. This may very well be a good barometer for our season this year. Will be a tough fixture, Spurs struggled there, but fingers crossed for a large win!
We don't just need to win this game, we need to smash them. Everyone else has won big today, we are overdue a big win.
This is a must win game for both of us. You to get up there with the big boys. Us to make sure we dont drop any further down the league.
Well, we'll be hoping to spoil this run for you. As Dalglish says, we are still working through changes - new manager, mandate from chairman to reduce age of squad, demand to reduce wages, new style of play. We have had mixed games, several dour draws, some poor performances and some very good against the footballing sides e.g.Spurs - unlucky to lose 2-1 down and pressing hard for the last 15 mins before being hit on the breakaway in last couple of mins - desrved a draw at least. Man City - showing the other side (our resilience) - went 2-0 down first half, shell-shocked. "Played them off the park" second half for a 2-2 draw and had chances to win it. Should be an interesting game - I'll go 2-2
I remember than one. The ball must have spent about 20 minutes in front of their goalmouth in one spell.
Head-to-head. Liverpool beat Fulham 5-2 at Craven Cottage in this fixture last season, Maxi Rodriguez scoring his second hat-trick in three games. Fulham have failed to score in six of their last eight Premier League games against Liverpool. In 20 Premier League games between the two clubs (going back to 2001), Fulham have won just three. Liverpool beat Fulham 10-0 in a League Cup second-round match at Anfield in 1986. Fulham. Fulham have won just one of their last eight Premier League games at Craven Cottage (W1 D4 L3), a run which started with that 2-5 defeat by Liverpool in May. This is Fulham's joint-worst record, in terms of points gained, after 13 games. Their 12 to date ranks alongside their total in 2005-2006 and 2007-2008. Headers account for just 7% of Fulham's goals. That is the lowest percentage in the Premier League. Liverpool. Liverpool are unbeaten in 11 matches in all competitions. They have allowed their opponents fewer shots on target against them than any other team in the Premier League (44). Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez averages 8.2 touches per game inside the opposition penalty area, more than any other top-flight player.
