Pirelli have chosen the medium and soft tyres for this circuit and the unpredictable weather might be an important factor this weekend. What are your thoughts for the race? Will McLaren continue their winning form? Will Red Bull take control once again? Can Ferrari take a surprise victory? Unless it's Massa I won't be surprised. Red Bull will struggle I think. I'd be shocked if they took pole again, and even if they do they'll be sitting ducks up Eau Rouge and Kemmel on the first lap anyway. Damage limitation weekend for them. I think it's between Alonso and the McLarens, weather dependent. I'll back Alonso.
Spa is known for its changeable weather which means Button could do quite well if the weather intervenes at the right time. It's not his luckiest track though, he hasn't finished the last two races there. Will the DRS be on Kemmel?
I think the Mclaren might have the edge over Ferrari because of the cooler temperatures and I think both will be faster than the Red Bull. I think Alonso will win though.
Not sure about that, was scorching all weekend when I went there in 2009. I suspect a Red Bull will get pole because of their extra downforce=earlier DRS. I think it will be more evened out than thought of just being a McLaren/Ferrari track.
Pretty sure it will be either Lewis or Jenson. I'm gonna go with Lewis because he will just get ahead in Qualifying which will give him an extra edge for the race. I think Red Bull will do a damage limitation, and Fernando will get third, because I don't get the hype over Ferrari being strong there. But who knows, I might be horribly wrong and we might see Vettel win...
I would be suprised if anyone other than Hamilton, Button or Alonso wins this one. Given that hungary was supposed to be a red bull dominant track and mclaren were clearly faster so i think they're the team to beat now. Of the two Mclaren drivers i went for hamilton because he usually runs well here and Button tends to get torpedoed.
But if Jenson gets pole meaning he qualifies ahead of Lewis, and gets a good start leading by the end of the first lap, it is him who is in Prime Position. The only reason why Jenson is behind Lewis is because of his Qualifying Performances. If Jenson can beat Lewis in Qualifying it will make it so much easier for him in the race.
Hamilton, is a strong force in the wet, I am sure he would want a strong result, with a good Mclaren and passion he can bag some big points in the battle to catch Mr.Vettel
And if Glock and Luizzi occupy the front row and get incredible starts they're in prime position! There's a reason Jenson doesn't beat Lewis in qualifying generally... If Jenson can magically beat Lewis in qualifying then equally Lewis can beat Jenson in the race? Although I don't think the latter is too much of a stretch looking at say... China?
Alonso: Most of his races compared to last year have been opposite. Spa last year he retired so this year he will win.
The only reason lewis was so strong in china was because he had more rubber to play with than anybody else, he tried that trick in monaco and came off worse. it is not comparing like for like.
