He's got the lot, great in the air, hard work, links up play and yes there are even goals and a bit of Brazilian flair.

My fav Liverpool player at the moment and yes that includes the brilliant Salah.

 

salah is my favorite still.

firmino and salah have formed a formidable partnership.

Firmino is good value for the no 9 shirt and his fee which at the time raised eyebrows is never mentioned but he is now our least expensive member of the fab 4.

29mil now looks a bargain. contracted to 2020, we need to get that sorted.

when a partnership clicks like this its great for the club. we have a long history of good partnerships where players become better together and thats whats happened here imo

 

Has Holgate signed up for this yet?

He has an incentivised contract in which he gets about £50k per goal and £30k per assist.

 

According to Football Leaks: The Dirty Business of Football, the Brazilian, who earns a basic wage of £68,085-a-week, makes an additional £1.1million in bonuses.

Firmino, who has netted nine times this season, allegedly earned £25,000 for each of his first five goals. Between six and 10 he is said to earn £45,000, and £65,000 from 11 onwards.

right now vvd can stand there, head a few and collect 180k.

firmino would need to score 2 per game to match or better him.

I remember seeing that. I bet he likes or plays basketball and that's where he got the idea for the look-aways.

 

Brendan Rodgers failed to make the best use of him.

 

Could be wrong as I don't give a awful lot of attention to contacts etc, but I'm sure FSG said ages ago that they preferred the lowee basic with high incentive approach worth contacts. If true, most of our players will have these types of incentives.

 

I think salah partnership has improved him.

Rogers threw him wide right and gave him benteke as a partner.

Klopp has surrounded him with pace and let him do his thing centrally.

YOu are right, on his best day rogers had no clue what to do with him.

 

I reckon firmino may be the only one who accepted!

welllll... was it that sort? that seems a season too short but you are prob right cos i can't recall.

that last full rogers season is a blur of disasters. no you must be right rogers played sterling at no 9 for half it. so you have to be right.
