Ferrari achieved their first win in monaco since 2001
The first Ferrari 1-2 since 2010

Kimi's first pole position since 2008
Haas first 2 car points finish ever

Perez long streak of points finishes ends
Hamilton knocked out in Q2 on pure performance

All of this.... Is just a blip right?

Jenson joking about pissing in Alonsos seat but ends up laying a brick instead.
Erickson Crashing while overtaking a safety car.
Palmer and Stroll failing to get points in a high attrition race.

All very silly, Its time to get back to business in montreal!!

On paper at least, it ought to be.

There are parts of this circuit which should suit Ferrari, and others which should suit Mercedes. The Ferrari will continue to be much easier to set up (I expect this to be a theme for the duration of the season) and Red Bull are not far off.

The circuit can be a mixed blessing for drivers who are exceptional on the brakes. The reason is that whilst they may achieve a quicker lap time, they wear the brakes more quickly. This is Hamilton territory. He could be fastest in every session or could struggle to find a good balance but either way I expect him to take pole this time. As for the race, yes, it could be a different matter. Relative to Mercedes, Ferrari will tend to be gentler on brakes, tyres and chassis with a better balance over a longer time – which should provide the more consistent car for the duration of the race.

That said, if Hamilton can preserve his brakes without needing to back off, I expect him to win.

I can't see the poll results from Monaco. So I can't update the scores. I did vote Vettel though

I'm hoping for a storming Lewis/Merc with the fastest car, hunted by two Ferraris, Seb going aggressive and Kimi going long.

I voted for Lewis to win this one, he's been good around here for a long time, and if he doesn't win this then I think the championship is lost for him.

Part of me also sees him over trying and putting it in the wall, as he hasn't really had to push around here and he has a habit of cracking under pressure.

Despite Monaco, I'd never bet on anyone but Lewis in Canada.

Bottas has been strong here before. Before he got his first win I thought this would be his best shot. But now he has the win and Mercedes and Ferrari have chosen their #1, as long as Hamilton turns up I think this one is his.

It would be kinda nice if Kimi got a win here after Monaco. Il take the punt on him.

As you have said- would like to se him split strategy and come out the right side!

Assuming Renault (and Honda) will struggle here given they are not scheduled to bring their upgrades, so this might be a PU fest with the Merc and Ferrari out front with Force India battling Williams to take the fight to Red Bull.

funny, I have the same kind of thinking for Kimi here, but I'll wait to see what the cars look like in practice and quali before I make my decision.

I thought Renault were supposed to be bringing their power upgrade here, but it seems that, once again, it's proved unreliable on the dyno, Honda seem to be in the same boat, it's ready but not tested, personally I don't think they have much too lose, they're at the back out of the points and retiring anyway, might as well stick an upgraded one in and test it under race conditions, it's doubtfull it'll cost them any points if it goes bang, but it will give some useful data.

Thanks for this El Bando (how did I get Big Ern and Bando mixed up I don't know). Appreciate it.
Just cancel the "change vote" option. I also can't see the Monaco GP Vettel voters so can't add to the tally for some reason.

Power track this, I expect Vettel to fly. Although voted Raikkonen in the hope Ferrari will pay back the win they owe him. I do think Ferrari have managed to overhaul Mercedes. Bottas to outperform a rattled Lewis. Toro Rossos and Force Indias up there. Haas round out top 10. Renault and Sauber crap, unless Hulkenberg or Wehlein put in a star drive. Honda... well no comment.

So, after complaining Ferrari engineered a result, which there is absolutely no evidence for, you now want Ferrari to manipulate a result? I think you need to stop reading articles on Hamelot.com
