I've just looked at a you tube clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBAXivBNY-I taken from a Cardiff fans perspective and it's clear that the throw-in they won (which lead to their penalty) was only possible because they had players on the half way line when Proschwitz missed. So, a hat tip to Malky Mackay for getting his troops ready for a counter attack just in case..... edit - its not from north stand it's from east 1/2
That video shows how obvious it was where Proschwitz was putting his pen with his body positioning, I still blame the ****ing morons running of the pitch for messing up his concentration though
I think in the second case the keeper wouldn't have cleared so recklessly if it wasn't for the offside attacker. In the second case I would have hoped that the referee didn't care too much because it was a goal kick anyway but I agree it should have been clearly offside.
I've been moaning about that all the time but few people seemed to care. I'm shocked how a professional footballer could be so incompetent with something so important to the club.
Why should it be any more difficult than any other penalty? There may be more pressure but with sensible practice it shouldn't be too difficult. 12 yards from goal with only the goalkeeper to beat, ffs!
Poor dears, maybe they should have the penalty spot 6 yards out and the goalkeeper is tied to one of the posts!
