I quite like the Independent of all the papers if I had to choose any and if it's
accuracy/success rate on transfer rumours etc is the highest of the raft of misfits
crooks and shisters I'll stick with it too.

In the last discussion here about the player of the year I know some plumped for Colo
although I'm surprised as it coukld've (should've) been Tiote, or Barton, or Nolan?
Has anyone tallied all the Man of the Match awards together for the lads to see who
consistently came out favourite on the day?

Could be Jose or Colo from some of them I guess!

I've been out of the loop for a while so probably missed loads but I'll ask to spare
any repetition; has a poll been run yet for Not606 player of THIS SEASON?
Wouldn't it be worth getting one running if there hasn't been one?

Anything to take my mind off the possibility of losing Joey due to NUFC inept
mismanagement and the almost certain bolted on departure of Jose.

Independent is good as it is supposed to be free of editorial bias, how all the press should work!

Tiote is officially a Sunderland fan. My bets are on Sgt(No)Patter

Tough to call, but I'd go with Colo over the course of the ENTIRE season. If Tiote hadn't missed so many games through suspension he'd have nailed it. Colo has shown he's one of the classiest CB's in the league this season. Notable mentions for Joey - we're a different team with him driving us on, a few goals, lots of assists and tonnes of motivation, Nolan - who'd have thought he'd score so many? And Jose, although the last couple of months he had some unusually poor performances (but we all know why that is). Right call IMO.

 

There will have been loads of polls. 99% of them I'd say Barton, Tiote or Colo won. Nolan's been good with the goals but performance levels are lower than the aforementioned trio.

Colo gets my vote ahead of Tiote, Tiote should have won it but he's tinged his season with all those stupid bookings.

 

Interesting Collo is the only one of our top players not to be linked to any other club...

Though no doubt Comolli will soon see this and put in a bid for him.

 

Probably to do with his age and very high wages.
