    I find a great travesty in such actions!!

    Oh dear...the title should read Why OH why?!?

    If there's a lot of naked images on the main boards, the site is classified as pornographic and is therefore ignored by browsers which have their safesearch function activated, or any other software which blocks porn. This obviously negatively affects the number of hits the site gets.

    By putting porn in a password protected area, a google search won't find it, so the site isn't classified as pornographic.

    The only flaw with this is that people can and do post pornographic images on the main boards.
