I thought this race deserved a thread of its own, being the last major handicap of the year and with PNmkt's horse to follow likely to go off favourite.

So please post your thoughts on the race below. For info here are Timeform's thoughts on the race

Really like First Mohican tomorrow 4/1 is a fair price imo.

I think THE TIGER offers some E.W value at 18s <cheers>

I like it as well but 4/1 in a handicap... I just can't do it.

I think he is a horse to really look forward to next year and looks just the type for this race as he is in my opinion running at his correct trip for the first time, as in each of his races he has been doing his best work at the end. I will back him as thanks to Princess he has become our horse really, but as Boston Bob states 4-1 is a rubbish price for what is one of the trickiest races of the year. I feel he should be 7 or 8 which would be fair and reflect his chance more accurately.

I agree on the price but in Cyc's comp any winner is better than a 20/1 2nd. If he gets beaten I think it will be by one of those above him in the weights. Have to go for FM though. I've somehow got attached to this one, being also a Dancing Brave grandson (and I have a Dancing Brave granddaughter in foal).

If he'd not done that piece of work with Frankel as a juvenile would he be 7/2 favourite tomorrow?
