I've been in touch with our solictors who have forwarded the rules for the competition in a bid to clarify the position highlighted in this week's predictions. These do look like an earlier draft of the rules rather than the finalised version but nothing of any substance was changed after this draft. 1. Competition Scope: 1.1 The competition will be for the duration of the league season and comprise every league match featuring Queens Park Rangers Football Club therein. 1.2 Other matches or bonus rounds may be included solely at the discretion of the organiser. 2. The Scoring System: 2.1 How points are awarded 2.1.a.i 5 points will be awarded for the correct prediction of the exact score at the end of the match. 2.1.a.ii 2 points will be awarded for predicting the correct winning team but not the correct final score. 2.1.a.iii 2 points will be awarded for predicting a drawn match but not the correct final score. 2.1.a.iv 1 bonus point will be awarded for correctly predicting the scorer(s) (as recorded on the official Queens Park Rangers web site) of each and every goal for both Queens Park Rangers Football Club and their opponents, regardless of the accuracy or otherwise of the predication of the final score. 2.1.b Any bonus rounds may be subject to different points system which will be stated within the announcement of such a round. 2.2 Governing clauses for the Scoring System 2.2.a All points awarded will be at the discretion of the organiser. 2.2.b Only predictions on the correct thread will be considered. This said thread will be made available at least 24 hours before the commencement of the match. 2.2.c All predictions must be lodged before the commencement of said match. 2.3 Optional Clauses for the Scoring System 2.3.a The implementation of any or all the optional clauses (2.3.b to 2.3.d hereunder) is solely at the discretion of the competition organiser 2.3.b Anyone buying the organiser a pint before the match will be considered for a bonus point for said match. 2.3.c Anyone choosing Mr J. Barton as one of their goal scorers (for one or more goals) may be deducted half of their aggregate score to date. 2.3.d Anyone deemed (in the opinion of the organiser) to be taking the competition too seriously will be banned from said competition with immediate effect. 2.4 Exceptions to the Scoring System 2.4.a The implementation of any or all of the exceptions (2.4.a.i to 2.4.a.iii hereunder) is solely at the discretion of the competition organiser 2.4.a.i Any offensive interpretations of club or players names may result in no points being awarded regardless of the match final result and goal scorers within. 2.4.a.ii Any humourous interpretations of players names not understood by the organiser will result in no points being awarded should said player score. 2.4.a.iii If the predicted score for either team is 3 goals or more greater than the final score of said match the organiser may opt not to award any points regardless of the final result and the goal scorers there within. 3. Points Disputes: 3.1 Any disputes into points awarded will only be accepted via PM (private message) in case the organiser has made a âright horlicksâ of awarding said points and would not want to be publically humiliated.
Add Rule 2.4.a.iv If the team are so overwhelmingly on top and choose to fanny about rather than score more goals Rule 2.4.a.iii shall not apply...
2.1.a.i 5 points will be awarded for the correct prediction of the exact score at the end of the match. I think 5 points should be awarded for an incorrect score, then maybe I would be top!
Due to rule 2.2a, I have a feeling I know who's going to win this year... Step forward Mr Rollercoaster Rangers, with a whopping score of 100,000 points in the last match of the season
Sorry is this my fault... So sorry all I wanted to do was not predict a win, but not come bottom! So sorry Roller I will restrict my predictions to 1-2 losses now
