New Providence @ 12/1 2:55 Newmarket Each/Way 1/4 the Odds a Place 1st 4
"Today I am pinning my colours against the mast of NEW PROVIDENCE @ 12-1 in the 2:55 race at HQ, the chesnut has looked a filly worth following in her two runs thus far. I don't think she has been unduly punished on what she has done thus far and it is actually good to see apprentice Noel Garbutt in the saddle taking a handy 5lbs off her back. Hugo Palmer has been doing well with his juveniles and I think this one can further enhance a growing reputation. Gobsmacked to see her available @ "net" 12-1."
<ok> E/W Stickometer + 18.89 "Rashers" to an "imaginary" 1 "Rasher" Each/Way level Stake
 WIN Weldometer(Ballybrit) -17.13 Winners=7 Runners=28 As @ End of play Day5
Result... The E/W Stickometer keeps on rising!!! Staying on 3rd @ S.P. 15/2 <applause>
Yesterday's Result Solid Justice Non-Runner

I like him too reebs. Did it really well last weekend and I backed him for this immediately. Not going to steal your thunder though. Instead I am pinning my colours against the mast of NEW PROVIDENCE 12-1 Newmarket 2:55 who has looked a filly worth following in her two runs thus far. I don't think she has been unduly punished on what she has done thus far and it is actually good to see apprentice Noel Garbutt in the saddle taking a handy 5lbs off her back. Hugo Palmer has been doing well with his juveniles and I think this one can further enhance a growing reputation. Gobsmacked to see her available at 12-1.

Authinger @ 8/1 5:25 Galway (Each/Way 1/4 the odds 1st 4 Places)

From the Barn of Tony "The Prince" Martin, which has done my real Betfair account the world of good @ Ballibrit this week, ridden by the young man of the moment Shanne ShorTALL -7 , who has a 100% 1 from 1 record on the flat , gained at this track last year, this horse is unexposed on the flat having only his third ever run here, down -2lbs for his last run over 1M 4F to a mark of 68, Authinger has been kept fit over the sticks where he is rated 110+.

Authinger looks to have been laid out for this race by his shrewd connections, who's horse's are in cracking form, the step up in trip will suit, ShorTALL's 7 Ibs claim adds icing to the cake, I'm having a Max Bet Pony Each/Way @ 8/1 (1/4 the Odd's a Place 1st 4)

It's been raining heavily for the last 4 hours here in Clare, approx 30 Miles from the track, so could well be a going change at Ballybrit come the morrow ?

Good Luck <ok>

Off on holiday tomorrow and had this gem waiting to post all week for you, been a while since i had some solid worthwile info, gone £60 e/w myself and looking forward to seeing my returns when i get home!!!!

SCHOOL FEES 2 05 GOODWOOD - 20/1

GET ON ASAP AS PRICE WILL DROP A FAIR BIT TOMORROW, SCHOOL FEES IS VERY VERY WELL HANDICAPPED AND WILL WIN THIS TOMORROW.

From a personal point of view only danger i can see is Barnet Fair so I've also had a £5 straight fore-cast on the 2 for a saver but going by what Rob was told by Olly and what Rob told me then this is bringing home the bacon tomorrow.

Enjoy lads and see you when i get back, best of luck for the next 10 days!!!

Wooly - what would I do without u (or Stick on the odd occasion he beats u to it haha) - he put up 14/1 red avenger today then again had about 10 losers or so before it so just about covered the week. Not too bad to break even I suppose - Fingers crossed PWISE and Chelseawise gonna have a good today tomorrow with his 20/1 shot !!

Somebody said on here the other day that this had been a less than spectacular ‘Glorious’ Goodwood, a sentiment with which I have a considerable amount of agreement, not just commenting out of my wallet.

The “Duel On The Downs” turned out to be a bit of a damp squib, with it effectively becoming a two furlong sprint that favoured the horse with the best turn of foot.

We may have seen a couple of decent two year olds but nobody will have got very rich on two odds-on shots that now dominate the 2015 Guineas betting.

Saturday’s card typifies the malaise this week. The Nassau Stakes looks a very mediocre renewal with no star quality, especially since most of the three year olds are so ordinary this term and the best of the older fillies are not running.

From a betting point of view, I am no fan of massive handicap fields (especially sprints) and I will happily pass over the Stewards’ Cup (under whatever name it is run). It looks quite open and plenty of punters like this type of race where small stakes can win reasonable returns, so good luck to everyone.

Ironically, having said that, the one bet I can see on the card is in the opener – the sprint consolation race! When I saw the entries the other day, Tom Dascombe’s ultra-consistent filly Stepping Out caught the eye. She is drawn out in the middle so Kingscote can choose where he wants to go and she is a course and distance winner. So now you all know which one to avoid...

The other main flat cards do not offer much in the way of betting interest as it is quite easy to turn a blind eye to the fare on offer at Newmarket and Doncaster (their poor quality card sponsored by the lowest common denominator unions).

Anybody know if Bob actually has a hat? Everybody make a note – photographic evidence may be required.

As for the minefield that's the Stewards Cup (the race will always be the Stewards Cup to me, sod the new name <laugh>), Muthmir could turn out to be Group class so I've backed him. I've also backed Arnold Lane each way at 33/1. Hallelujah shouldn't be overlooked either, she's a course and distance winner.

Done an each way double at Goodwood based on Pricewise's column in the Racing Post: Oasis Fantasy in the 2.40 and Alben Star in the 3.50.

Galway 3.10 Action Master @ 40s ew. A few years back I remember this one winning cosily at the Cheltenham October meeting off a similar mark. Ground conditions ideal should outrun those odds.
Over at Goodwood a fanciful Shropshire ew double with Sir Maximillian @ 25s in the Stewards and Captain Myles @ 14s in the lucky last.
Good luck all and many happy returns Nassau.
