7pm. Tipperary. CALM BAY. Nine pounds "well in". NINE! No odds yet but is a must in doubles and trebles tomorrow. May even try a NINEfold. NINE pounds well in! Not three, not four but NINE.

A good double. SCALOP 3.40 Carlisle (can't lose this one) 4-9 on in a double with a red card in the Portugal v Ghana game at 9-2. Like the Uruguay v Italy game, both these teams have to win and its all or nothing so tackles and tempers will fly. Good double bet for me.

Morning, team. Hope everyone well. Also hope everyone’s moles, insiders and contacts are mighty fine also. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more...

Big punting question of the day must be will old boy DANCE AND DANCE finally win another race this afternoon (3.30 Newcastle)?!? He hasn’t obliged since July of the year ’12 and has fallen in the perches from a career high 110 to today’s mark of 91 as a result. He seems the sort of animal who needs everything to fall right for him in order to secure victory but I think he jolly well might waltz away with this and get another ‘1’ next to his name up in the North-East today. Any wager on him has its risks but current quotes of 13/2 appear reasonable.

    Good luck all.

Favourite Pique Sous not amongst the declared runners for Saturday’s ‘Richard Pitman’s Derby’. Mr Henderson’s Lieutenant also won’t go. This one unfortunately hasn’t quite recovered from having his shoe ripped off at Royal Ascot – the Lieutenant that is not Mr Henderson. Her Majesty didn’t step aggressively on his heel or anything, no, no, nothing like that.

I’m expecting a huge run in the aforementioned ‘Richard Ptman’s Derby’ from my old fave, Tropical Beat. 25/1 looks most appealing, methinks.

Heis, what do you think of his first two at Carlisle as I have just done a place double on him at 5/2. Think he has a very very good chance of doing this.

Stick are you about today as I see VALLARTA is running in the 3.20 Yarmouth. I know you were on last weekend when he fluffed the start and was unlucky that day. Extra furlong today and differant jockey. Could today be the day?

Think he spoke about this on Twitter last night.

He seems to be off here again. Probably throwing toys out of pram!

Chicken and pasta salad. Reasonable. 7/10.

Cor blimey, if me and Reebs agree on a horse surely only one thing can happen now...

Why’s Stick throwing his toys out of the pram then?!? Cor blimey what’s happened now?!? I still maintain there is a novel (or should that be ‘Carry On’ film) to be written about the antics on the former 606, RHH and now Not 606.

Tomato and chilli soup and a large mixed salad with tuna and feta cheese. 8/10, mainly driven by the excellent spiciness of the soup.

Disappointing (with a capital D) field for the Irish Derby this coming Saturday - 4 from Ballydoyle, 1 each from Messrs Weld, Varian and Oxx. I suppose the rematch between Australia and Kingston Hill is mildly interesting but the race hardly has a lot of depth to it.

Are we about to see a turnaround of epic proportions in the World Cup? With Ghana imploding, could Portugal reap havoc and overturn their dreadful goal difference, whilst the USA lose to Germany?

Seeing as you get €112,500 for finishing 3rd am amazed that a lot more connections haven’t targeted the race even if they think they can only achieve a ‘consolation place’.

Don’t the old Germans and USA just need to draw for them both to qualify??? Nudge, nudge, wink, wink say no more...

Surely you don't think Juergen "ze German" Klinsmann will be doing his countrymen a favour? <laugh>

In all honesty, I think Klinsmann knows how to beat this German side and I can see an upset coming ..............
