Feeling a little bit left out (as well as obviously jealous towards those of you who will be heading down Wembley Way on Saturday). How about a thread for those of us that won't be there (guessing this will mostly populated by ex-pats - Sydney and Elle etc.) A guy in my office is going to a beam back at the Emirates (reckons that 3/4 of the stadium will be open for it). Hope Andy Townsend does the occasion justice.
I guess so. In the future we'll be able to look back on this day like those that talk about Torquay on a wet Tuesday night.
Not going sucks for sure but the fact it is Arsenal makes it ok. My favorite City game was the time we beat Arsenal in 2008. I was with 2 of my buddies and we were in a bar that was always full of Arsenal fans surrounded by about 30 of them. We had the only City kits on and we were the closest ones to the TV. It was great fun, we went crazy when Geo scored that goal. The owner of the bar gave us our drinks for free since he hated Arsenal so much. Was a great day.
Yes I am jealous but I cannot deny the overwhelming pride I feel at this point, to everyone that goes have a brilliant day out, that includes pro name/anti name change, newbies, old stalwarts. The lkows of may years are worth it for the recent highs. Just blitz them City .
Also not going as posted in my own thread I started, will be in a bar by the beach in Tel Aviv, probably surrounded by Arsenal fans and some neutrals who hopefully will cheer on City. Will not be fun if we lose and a discreet exit is planned!!!
I'm not going because of work......I haven't got a ****ing job....gutted!!! I'm obviously proud the lads have got us there though and hope the fans going down there do us proud, which I know they will.
Im not going as couldnt get a ticket. Was thinking of going in to town to watch but not sure where to go for good atmosphere
Same. Am thinking of taking the wife to the theatre in Soho for a matinee performance and then watching the game in a pub around there somewhere. I reckon you might struggle for atmosphere in Hull (I'm sure I can surround myself with Gunners and hope that it's our day).
Well this old ex-pat has travelled 5000 miles and I AM GOING!! In years to come when you young lads on here are reminiscing long after we are gone you will be able to say with pride, like the English soldiers in Shakespeare's Henry V at Agincourt, that you were there on that memorable day when HULL CITY WON THE CUP!!
Just popped over to wish you boys well for the Cup Final on Saturday! It reminds me of the great day when we beat Arsenal in the Cup Final and I really hope that you can do the same! All the best for Saturday!
Not going, made the play off final and semi, so slightly less dissapointed to not be there. Foolishly used my mates pass to get semi tickets as he was away rather than waiting, screwing myself over in the process for the final....will be watching at home with my little boy as his mother is out for a night at the theatre
Admiral of the Humber - they have about 5 TVs (large screen) and they're showing the game live. Also I'm not going either - insufficient funds for a trip to London I'm afraid! Will be decking out in my black and amber for the next few days though to cheer on the lads.
I remember the day well...was my wedding day and wife not pleased I pissed off to watch the fa cup final......even less pleased when I stayed up late to watch it again on match of the day.
For those not going (I am by the way, soz) get yer sens in Masters Bar. Showing it, cheap beer and very tight and intimate pub where it will get a bit lively.
