    Really hope the guy stays as he seems really grounded and a down to earth chap.

    I agree with your comments about Ba, let's hope he isn't influenced by his Agent, let's hope he is his own man!

    Ba said late last week that there had been no talks then, and I believe him.

    I would be surprised if anyone waited until today to make their move. Clubs do wait until the end of the window as part of the bargaining process but there isn't any real room for bargaining (at least with the club) here. If you stump up £7.5 million, you can talk to Ba.

    There's no chance that we're going to consider any offer below £7.5million. Every club has had plenty of time to decide whether to make a move. If they intended to, I would have expected them to have allowed themselves longer than today to try to agree personal terms and to carry out the medical, especially as the latter is known to be by no means a formality.

    He doesn't. He likes it here. He has done everything short of saying that he would never consider an offer from any other club no matter how good it was.

    (There was a striker who said that once - - tall lad, forget his name . . .)

    Isn't it the case that we all assumed they were big mates but they actually didn't know each other that well, having very rarely played together at international level? Easy assumption to make I guess, but is every England fringe player mates with Wayne Rooney?

    Quite exciting actually having our own special mini transfer window, Sky should have a countdown surely.
