I wonder how Buzz felt losing the 10 shirt and if that played a factor in him not taking a new contract. I reckon he is a proud chap - he had potent to be a great for us before the injury. But.... I saw the end of Bowles and all of Currie in my QPR times and there was a predictability to him - Bowles used to do strange things - so did Currie - and so as we know - does Adel. I never saw Rodney play - so welcome any perspective. I think Adel has the potential to be a great QPR no 10 - boutique to QPR - flair and rash head.

Less of the boutique WL, thats a bad term to use around these parts.

If Adel is set free and confident he has the potential to be one of the top prem players next season. He is worthy of the no. 10 shirt and can set the league alight. I just hope that the right Adel turns up. No other team has a player like him.

If it did then the guy needs a psychiatric evaluation. He couldn't pass the ball ten yards last season yet he turned down a new deal at a Club going places?

Whoever's advising him should be taken out and shot.

Yeah, that's what I meant to say but it just came out wrong. A bigger boy made me do it!

I saw all of Rodney Marsh era and I can not remember him ever misbehaving.
He acted a lot on the pitch and used to go back to beat the defender a second time when we were in the third division.
In my opinion Bowles was the best number 10 we had.

Which drop kick gave buzz the no. 10 shirt last year anyway? Giving it to Adel is an inspired move, better than giving him the captaincy imo. He's job isn't to direct others around. It's to show the rest of us he's the best player at the club and the no. 10 shirt should give him the lift he needs to become a great.

if this ( and the new contract ) doesn't inspire adel to produce the magic that we know he's capable of then nothing will.
he's basically being told we believe in you, go out and play.

Didn't Betty use the #10 last year? Surely that must have given Buz plenty of time to get over it. It's all about the length of the contract IMO, he's looking for a three year deal, something we were never prepared to offer.

Bowles was a magician. Our best No 10, followed by Rodney. Adel has the potential to be up there with them!!
