Okay, I have seen the Jarmans and Portuguese teams go through to the Semi Finals and I'm watching the Frogs and the Spanish now (how cak are the Frogs btw) and as we sit on the eve of our big game, I have to say that this tournament is wide open imo.

The pundits have already got a Jarmany/Spain final booked and much ass kissing and grovelling is currently taking part amongst the pundits and TV stations in order to fulfill that prophecy. I on the other hand still think we can play a part in this story and although the Italy game represents our biggest test so far under Roy's reign, I have the feeling we can beat them tomorrow and then take the game to the Jarmans.

For me, Spain have a great A game but if they go behind, they don't have a B game. Torres isn't any kind of B plan these days. The Jarmans have had 4 games against the weakest teams in the competition and the Portuguese team are a completely one man dominated team. Stop Ronny and you stop them.

We are not the best technical team nor are we the most attractive but what we are is a carbon copy of the 80's and 90's Jarman sides being well organised, disciplined, functional, mentally tough and offer a great goal threat. We are a real team for once and its that team ethic that is standing us in good stead this year.

2-1 to the 3 Lions tomorrow imo and another major tournament clash with the other auld enemy.

    Come on England.

Tomorrow is make or break for, for more than 1 reason. The money riding on this England game is massive. Think about all the pubs, clubs, working mans clubs etc.... that have taken a hammering over the last few years with smoking bans, increased tax etc... you think what a semi final England vs Germany on Terestrial TV can do for those business's.

    Common England do us proud

Obviously we could win, Chavski were not as good as Barca and B Munich and they managed it.

However Who is our Drogba? I know I might be in a minority of one. But Rooney was just awful in the world cup and he was awful in the game against Ukraine, I am afraid to say but Waza is in cricket terms a flat track bully. Italy are not as good as they have been in other Comps, but they no pushover and when has Rooney when he has played for England delivered?

Well its time for someone to step up. For me Gerard has been the closest to our Drogba and I have a feeling he will be up for it today. He is never going to win the ELP with Liverpool so this is his moment. This is the pinical of his career and I can see him being out talisman and winning the game for us.

Watched the game last night in a haze of alcohol and spicy food which in hindsight was not the best idea in the world this morning. Spain - good team but, boring as hell and they only pass it about that much because the passes are 3 ****ing feet away, still a decent bet for the title.
Germany - good team but, have not been really tested came up against the weakest team in the quarters and just about got through, defence iffy could (and will if we get through today) go out in the semis.
Italy - my outside bet for the title, again not great to watch but haven't really got out of second gear could be a close game tonight.
Portugal - as said stop Ronaldo and you stop Portugal, he's had his best tournament this time around but against Spain willnot end well. My bet for most boring game of the tournament two tippy ****ing tappy teams playing balls 3 feet to each other in the middle of the park.
Engerland (pronunciation) - not buying this we are doing it like Chelsea bollocks we are doing it like England and as such we will beat the Axis Powers of Italy then Germany to meet Spain in the final and, be beaten on penalties a-****ing-gain.

All the best for the Christening today parker when I first read it I thought it said getting the BRAIN christened it's the alcohol mate.

I'll stick me neck out and say Mandy Carroll will get the winner. The I ties will be sh*t scared of him.

Hope I'm wrong but I also expect Rooney to get sent off. They will wind him up and he will snap like he always does.

  14. Cant see Carroll playing

Rooney up front on his own

If Rooney does get sent off Welbeck will probably come on

Same team as last time and got to agree with Gil the Ities will wind Rooney up to get a reaction which won't be long in coming from the mild mannered scouser.

  16. I think Hodgson will put Rooney up front on his own maybe with Welbeck if he does Welbeck if Welbeck does start he will be subbed of for Carroll and if Rooney gets sent off after that what are we going to do then
