Well now the media are on it, it's only heading in one direction. The narrative is written, Ten Hag soon to sacked. I'd firstly like to say my own opinion is that Ten Hag wins this battle, because none of his predecessors managed it. He stays, the rats go. Add more players of his own, wheedle out the Martial, Lindelof and Dalot's of this world who were signed by long since departed ex managers yet are still in the squad, stinking the place out. If he loses this battle with players with **** attitudes, then they stay and the next mug comes in. Seems inevitable to me, and we end up in the exact same situation we always do, reactively replacing a manager mid season with no thought to it whatsoever. So, who would you like? Available are Potter, Zidane, Alardyce, Warnock, Pardew....... Maybe take a punt on Carrick, or Rooney? This still sound a good idea?
If I were ten Hag tomorrow, I would be overloading the side with players he himself signed. Stand and fall by it. He can't do anything about the back four a minute, but the rest should be; 4 2 3 1 Onana AWB Varane Maguire Reguillon Amrabat Casemiro Mount (on right) Fernandes (stays in, just, but Eriksen is an alternative he signed) Antony (on left) Hojlund. Martial, Lindelof and Dalot, who were all bought by managers three or four previously, should never be picked again in my opinion. Ever.
That's a decent line up agree he should go with his own. Casemiro out so go with either McTominay.... or Van De Beek anyone??? I really hope it's not Hannibal, sorry.
Kobe Mainoo hopefully. Although could move Mount there and Garnacho comes in, Antony on the right. Not McShit.
Ah yes I think I heard Mainoo returned from injury and played in the youth cup last week? Everyone's written us off against Fulham. Even the betting companies. Not surprising tbf.
Two big games this week. Win both, then also beat Luton, and it goes quiet. Lose both, and you just know he's gone.
Which solves fck all. We'd literally be left with a mishmash squad of players collected over 4 managers.
Well yeah, exactly. This is the same situation as with Ole, it was obvious where it was ending and it was as if no one thought to look ahead at who the next manager would be. They should be identifying and sounding that person out now if the next step is getting rid of yet another manager. They won't be though, as they are all clueless above ten Hag. Not that we should say this of course. We have to pretend this isn't the case and not mention the owners. It's all down to the manager remember. Including finding his own successor then I guess.
IF we have to part company with ETH then it pretty much means the end of signing 'speculative' management, the next guy in has to be the billy bollocks or we would be right back to square one, any one else would be another one season wonder before Rashford and his gang fall out with him. In the real world that doesn't leave us with many options - Zidane or Ancelotti are the only two proven winners out there, anyone else is just hit and hope. Ancelotti is my bet - literally.
I honestly believe even right now, not one fcker of any note above Ten Hag believes the problem lies with them. They will not accept the problem is the structure or the heirarchy within the club. And I'm sure they want to keep the status quo, believing it's not their fault, it's all about the manager.
Looks like another Rashford sulk could be incoming! And lots of media outrage that the manager dare say anything about a player.
The problem with this idea is that it suggests ETH can’t fix the current form problem. While there is a structural problem at the club, ETH has to show better diligence in the choices that he makes within the scope which he controls. If he’s able to do that, the performances will invariably improve. Looking higher is almost pointless because that won’t change until INEOS comes in. And if ETH is not showing that he himself isn’t part of the problem, they will be quick to get rid of him along with that useless Arnold.
