I thought Martinez was supposed to make a decision in 24 hours about his future? He bottled it?
Why is Martinez rated so highly? He won an fa cup, but so did Joe Royale. I know he made Wigan play passing football, but its done them no good. He's not proved that he can improve a side with limited resources. I think Wigan looked their best under Bruce, they've gone backwards under RM.
Joe Royle was great at Goodison JC.
Agree on Martinez though, his 'genius' is a figment of Dave "did I tell you I once broke my leg in the Cup Final" Whelan's imagination. He's as weak as piss & I urge you to get your auld fella to smite Bill Kenwright if he even thinks of offering the job to him.
I was unfair to Joe there reading it back. I'll cook up something nasty for Kenwright mate. A plague of toads crawling out of his arose should do.

I'm hoping that Kenwright listens to the fanbase for once & appoints Pereira from Porto, but I'm becoming resigned to the fact that he'll appoint the relegated 'genius' that is Martinez
