well the next 7 matchdays show an interesting number of games involving teams in the current bottom 10

7 have 4 home and 3 away fixtures

Reading get to play games against 5 teams in the current bottom 10, Watford and Donny at home, Coventry, BrCity and Burnley away..

Barnsley have 4, 3 at home and 1 away, Watford Coventry and Burnleyhome with Brum away

Of the 159 points to be scrapped for
Soton are involved in 4 games along with CPalce & Derby ( 36 of the points)

Midds 3 games, with Leics, Millwall Hull Peterboro and Bpool (54 of the points)

Brighton Ports 2 games ( 12 of the points )

City only play Leeds ( both play Brighton) and Reading...5 out of 9 points would be good
Leaves 2 home 2 away ...5 out of 12 would be good = 15 points from 12 games, not good overall granted, but similar to last years finish! need to aim for 62 points...

Reading and Leeds both play Donny and Coventry 4 draws would be brilliant, all 4 could be struggling

Like last season these groups of 6 or 7 games show up the dog eat dog fixtures, 17 of 52 fixtures involve the current bottom 10 teams, one game in 3 is basically 6 pointers....

Come on you redzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz JUST DO IT........EARN YOUR KEEP!!!

The way we are playing I can't see anything except a home defeat to Brighton and an away loss at Leeds. Hull are better away from home than they are at the KC and you don't know quite what to expect from Reading. After that we play Blackpool away which I wouldn't expect much from either. After that we have Peterboro at home and Palace away.

If things stay as they are in terms of management and playing staff, I can see us getting as few as 4-6 points from these 7 games and if it comes true we are gonna be in big trouble.

I would like to see us be more positve at home - draws at home are not enough and we need to go out and win games - playing 4-5-1 against Pompey more less said we happy with a point?
Brighton have started well, but lets get at them at the Gate.

its this 4-5-1 formation I dont like, if 3 of our defenders are good, and us fans mostly seem to think we need another defender!!! (and I think they could well be), maybe playing 3 at the back and allowing them to work out the defence might be OK.Play the 5 in the middle , we do seem to have plenty of midfield / wide players and 2 up front. 1 up front gives their defence less of a problem. If the middle 5 do their stuff, defence and attack should benefit!

We certainly do need to up our game ANGELIC,only game I have "witnessed " is the commentary on the Donny game, and that was a bit bland how much difference would NM's goal at the start have made?? and what may have been the result had they scored the penalty. I am not one of these people who think that not missing the penalty and scoring later as they did would have been the result. Had they scored it play after would have been completely different....the same as NM's miss what ensued after had he scored would have been completely different. Granted both of these events did have an effect on what ensued be it negative or positive

JGF2 - Let's face it we should be beating the likes of Donny (and no offence intended to them either) home and away just so that survive another season in the Championship, and especially with their injury list. I also don't approve of 4-5-1, it does us no favours over all.

Last season we had 6 pts from 11 games and finished on 60 pts......wouldn't back us to do that again though.

John, you are absolutely having a laugh, unless this new defender (and maybe one more) is/are Supermen, I really do fear for us under the current regime with our lack of organisation, game plan and stategy - especially against Brighton who I expect to systematically take us apart bit by bit, examine our workings stuff us and leave us in bits...

(Go on, stick this on the dressing room wall)

Prem last season when there was so much doom and gloom after Christmas and I did similar blocks of games they were quite reflective of what happened, even the period when we had no points in 5 or more games. The formula doesnt change, although the teams involved does. Never really used it this early in the season as form at the moment is unsettled and will be until maybe 10 games or so when the latest batch of transferees establish themselves or upset the applecart.

As fans what are we expecting from this season .....:emoticon-0112-wonde

Personally I would like to see a top 10 finish, better still top 8 icing on the cake top 6.<magic><magic>

2 of the most flaunted teams expected to do well are languishing below City:emoticon-0104-surpr

6 to go and 5 of the others did us well!!!!
Leeds Coventry and Watford won, wot a shame, Watford with a draw would have been perfect

No he has had enough chances, he has no idea how to change games, he got lucky against festa and that is all! As premiership said on another post that was Maynard proving a point.
Can you hand on heart say any off the players want to play for keef. Last year we got better with Cisse playing in front of the defence where is he now!
I think get someone in that will drive us on, I am fed up with every body thinking we should settle for just outside the bottom three.
Get someone in that will get us playing entertaining football, fans will turn p and watch if they get entertainment and feel that the team are trying!
