Good Morning and Happy New Year Everyone According to reliable sources at the YEP, Leeds have missed out on one of their major January targets. 22 yo Toffee Mason Holgate is joining Leeds rivals West Brom instead! The central defender will pen a deal at the Hawthorns until the end of the season! Why would a player opt for West Brom over Leeds? Leeds do however have their sights set on two other players. Highly rated youngster Moise Kean has been tracked by Leeds since last Summer. The 18yo forward has turned down a contract extension at Juventus in the search of first team football. He has represented Italy at all age levels including U21 as well as a cameo role with the senior team. The other player is Stuart McKinstry, a 16 yo wonder kid from Motherwell. A fee of £400,000 has been agreed between the two clubs for the young winger. Mallik Wilks has signed a contract extension at Elland Road keeping him at the club until 2021. The 2o yo has impressed during his loan spell at Doncaster Rovers netting 7 times in 23 appearances as well as numerous MOTM awards.
Morning all, We had a defender from Everton on loan before & we all know how well that went, so I'm not that fussed, tbh. I've droned on about this many times before - I'm only interested in loans if they're 'try before you buy'. I'd rather we developed our kids than anyone else's.
Elland Holgate was turned down because Bielsa refused to guarantee him a starting place. From what I can gather Holgate chose Leeds but we refused Evertons request to start him Keane was mentioned a couple of months ago in the transfer sticky but if this happens its a huge gamble because hes so young which means he will not start regular.
