I called at the ticket office yesterday and I have say that there was a strange sense of deya vous about the place. The feel that I had gone back in time some 12-15 years. The ambiance reminded me alot of the days in the portakabin or indeed the small front office/club shop at the Jacksons entrance when it first opened. Everyone (actually 3 people in attendance at the time) seemed to be dually employed and in some cases multi-employed (including making the tea) in an ever more scrappy and loose looking operating environment. OK austerity and cut-backs are the words of the moment, but are slowly becoming second rate, unprofessional behind the scenes and dare I say, Stockport like?
