Well I for one for the first time in a while am really looking forward to the new season. I think we have reason to be optimistic, unlike the previous 2-3 seasons under The Allams, and I feel we have an owner who at face value genuinely cares for the club, it's supporters and has aspirations to progress both on and off the pitch. As for pre-season, I'm not bothered about results, that said seems Shota has got his work cut out blending our acquisitions into a team, he'll get there but may take a couple of months. Attendance alone against Leicester is reason enough to be optimistic. Sorry to see the back of KLP and Honeyman. Also seems Acun wants to see attacking football, and City carrying a threat on goal, something we barely had last season, seems we've signed players to do that other than they need some more back up from a mobile and creative midfield. Looking forward to Saturday, think we'll see a decent crowd, a half decent match and hopefully a positive result. What am I confident about, that we won't be at risk of relegation which we flirted with most of last season. 2022/23 hopefully sees us back as an established member of The Championship, anything more would be a big bonus.
