For those who don't remember, there were four proposed covers for this seasons programmes, none of which had any mention of Hull City.

That's now changed, here's the actual cover of tomorrow's programme...

Thanks for listening City, let's keep it this way.

Hull City has never been dropped despite all the hissy fitting by some. :emoticon-0116-evilg

But it does make sense to have it on the match programme if they want to sell them to all of us. ;)

Looks good and has 100 pages i have read. :emoticon-0103-cool:

That looks smart. It also sounds like they're willing to come to a compromise with the fans. Long may it continue.

Nick Thompson once again said last night at the OSC Hull branch grand opening that Hull City has never been dropped. Just that the AFC has been changed to Tigers. Shame some cannot or wont see that fact.

He also said that the club have heard the voices of the complainers and we shall carry on being known as Hull City in the football world.

He also went onto say that he has meeting with a couple of companies in London on tuesday prior to Orient as we now have Tigers in our name and they have the Tiger as a logo. Good news for all.

So - bright spark - are we Hull City FC/ Hull City AFC/ Hull City Tigers/ Hull Tigers?

I do feel that Assem Allam's creation of such confusion has got to some, particularly you....

No thanks to you, Patty or Happy, then. <whistle>

I see that fact and still don't like it, I want to keep the club name Hull City AFC.

All those who now claim that it's OK that Nick Thompson says 'Hull City' is going to remain, should hark back to this:

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...m-now-on-we-will-be-known-as-Hull-Tigers.html

Then they should honestly ask themselves how and why this (sort of) 'compromise' happened to come about. Was it down to those who were in favour of the name change - to 'Hull City Tigers', eventually becoming 'Hull Tigers', becuse it was claimed that it would bring marketing benefits, investment and sponsorship to the club?

The only people confused are in a minority, and you're smack bang in the middle of it.

He said he'd heard of the complainers, why's that so strange? He's had 20 emails remember. He's also been quite clear that we're Hull City in the football world. Tigers has replaced AFC. Oh my god nooooo, that's just awful. Dr Allam may have thoughts on what he wants to call the club, but there are people around him advising him, people who are doing a bloody good job. I get his interview and the way it was presented confused some of you, but the communications from Nick have all been perfectly clear. That you choose to read bits you want to, then interpret them the way that suits you is just a reflection on you and your melancholy.

Anyhow, just because YOU were confused about our football teams name, don't assume we're all as dense.

Rather than being so negative and ****ing miserable all the time, some of you should open your eyes and see just how wonderful things are for us atm, and how much better they look for the future too.

The communications from Nick have been clear? He says he doesn't know of any plan to change the name, but can't confirm either way. For an MD to be saying that is nothing short of bizarre. I don't blame him personally but clearly there's something weird going on if the Managing Director doesn't know the name of the club.

I know you don't care, but what I don't understand is why does it bother you so much that other people do care and why do you take this piss-taking stance over things like this as you are doing with Stan in the above post. You've been proven wrong on this topic time after time and yet you're still trying to belittle others, making out they're stupid.

the same can be said about Stan..
maybe it makes him feel like a real fan.
oh I feel sorry for him, if his life is so empty that he has to fill his time with petty superficial things.

Happy embarrassed himself by loyally insisting this would never happen for the last 6 months, then when it was announced the name was changing clinging to the hope the badge wasn't changing, then when it was announced that the badge was indeed changing too, clinging to the fact we still play in Hull. At one point I even compiled a load of his posts into one big quote to remind him what a bellend he'd been and how wrong he was.

Bearing all that in mind, no one has less right to be taking the piss out of others and questioning their intelligence than Clapper.

NT also said that the latest companies to contact the club were as a direct result of us being Hull City Tigers. :1980_boogie_down:

What would the AFC bring us then Stan ? Age Through Concern maybe ? <whistle>

He's obviously not been clear enough for you, he hasn't said we're replacing AFC with Tigers, he saying we're not going to be called Hull City Tigers at all, though Assem is saying we are and he wants that to progress to Hull Tigers.

Only Nick wasn't actually able to confirm it definitely, only 'as far as he's aware'.

Whoever you believe, the whole thing is an unnecessary mess caused by a slight bonkers, but very wealthy old man, who's got a new toy to play with.
