The present owners of Hull city saved them from almost abscurity by spending around £63m on buying the club paying off the debts and starting afresh with new managers and players. They can call them what they like within reason, in my opinion. The only thing they've done wrong is not consulting the supporters for their opinions, but what ever the supporters said the name change could have gone ahead anyway. We have still got Hull city whatever the rest of the title is but for those fans still angry about it the Premiere league management have stepped into the arguement. Yep, this definitely warranted a new thread. Not like it's covered in the 40 odd pages on the HDM peice. An entirely fresh opinion...
