Hi guys, Seeing as we can afford to keep our players over the last couple of years, we now have a few mainstays in our team, who do you think within the current squad is best represents the supporters - we have had Terry Paine, Matt Le Tiss and Ted Bates. Out of the current squad who is our current Mr. Southampton? My vote is tied between Kelvin and Adam. Although, Lee Holmes does a lot for the community despite being injured over the past couple of years. Let me know your thoughts.
I have to say Adam Lallana, he's a very friendly, humble guy off the pitch - always has time for the fans and doesn't act like a big 'I am' like some other players do
Lallana definitely. I'd also throw Jose Fonte in too, because a) no one expected him to drop down to join us, and b) I remember his celebration when he scored the goal v Brighton that won us the game. It just oozed passion for the club....
I would vote for Super Kelv too, when he turned down the move to West Ham it was an inspiration to the other players and the supporters. Loyalty like that puts him in the Le Tissier/Paine/Bates group for me.
I would have to say Jason Puncheon, The way he threw his toys out of the pram and refused to travel because he was pushed out by a 16yr old shows the passion he has for SFC. Mr Southampton for me
Kelvin seems a great guy met him once after a game outside and he was very friendly and seemed a good guy. Could not argue with Adam but this group of players seem a happy tight knit bunch and i like them all dont know about you
I'd have to disagree with all of the above and pick Lambert tbh. Great ambition, great diligence and humility.
I also feel lambert should be in there, for me Lambert, Lallana and Davis. But as someone else has said i like them all really.
