Just musing a bit on the six Who´ve joined PL´s Canary mix, One loan and five buys So far, is no surprise He´s out quickly working his tricks I´d say they´ve all got much to prove After making their East Anglian move, Talent galore And a hunger that´s raw I can´t wait to see them in the groove Will Vaughan, who has been there before Recover his Premier League rapport, I think if he does We´ll all get a buzz And we could see him frequently score Morison seems like a dark horse To me, who´ll no doubt stay the course, He´s big and he´s strong And he´ll run all day long I´ve a fancy he could be a force Then Bennett, up from the south coast Who, when he gets running, can roast, The best back alive So he could well thrive If he can cross to that near post Johnson may well prove to be An inspired signing for no fee, A no-nonsense type They´ll not take a swipe At him, and get away for free And then De Laet, our Belgian friend Lightening quick, from the Stretford End, But whether or not Like Barnett, he stops With us, well so much will depend And lastly there´s Pilkington, who Paul Lambert plucked to join the crew, The clips that I´ve seen Of him, have all been Impressive, in the Huddersfield blue So all of those mentioned above I´d say, could fit just like a glove, All Paul Lambert types With success in their sights And a chance, if they work for the Guv. Excellent poetry RBF, good to see you back. So are you happy with the new signings? What other types of players do we need in your opinion sir?
Hi RBF - great read as always! I hope the thrill of expectation is matched when the real stuff begins I'm sure we are in for an exciting ride, Mr. Lambert has done us proud and bought wisely
Evening Beef, I would have answered you sooner, but I´ve been away from the PC all afternoon, ( Tour de France, and all that, you know). I think I´m happy with things so far, but like everyone else, I´ll need to see how they all cope when it really hots up, before making any final judgement. They´ve certainly all got the chance they´ve been waiting for, just up to them to take it! I know some have been questioning Ruddy, but for me, he´s certainly still number 1, but maybe if PL is looking to loan out either Rudd or Steer at some time, which would benefit both in my opinion, then getting in an experienced number 2 might be an option, would also help to keep Ruddy on his toes.
