Oasis fans up in arms apparently, no overpriced stuffed toy this year, the add is to raise awareness for those who are alone at Christmas and has been done in partnership with Age UK...
**** rendition of a great tune. As per with these adverts. Like the idea to raise awareness, all for that, but it's still the same ****e as per.
Yet more cynical exploitation at a time of year that is ripe with cynical exploitation. It woulda been better like this:
Everyone going mad over an advert showing a dodgy looking old biffa getting hold of a high powered telescope & scanning a town before using the zoom to peep into a little girls bedroom. At least it's only a wink & a wave he gives her. Ask yourselves how dangerous a man has to be if he's exiled to live all alone on the moon? Just saying.
These ads where they have a slow emotional cover version with a soppy message that are supposed to pull on your heartstrings are tedious now. Move the **** on, nothing to see here.
I thought the other day what would be the perfect suggestion for this - N-Trance, Only Love Will Set You Free. If Lewis get that on their ad next year they'll piss Christmas.
