    they'll think "oh, first friendly of preseason, to a confrence club, small stadium, meh. hardly a special occasion"

    and then BAM: 5000* football starved geordies going mental for what is essentially a meaningless game, and the new signings'll be all "ce de la meeeeerde?". Then they'll start to get the gist of our support.


    *dont know the seat allocation amount, but i bet there'll be a fair few geordies in the home end

    The tunnel is opposite the away end, so they will walk out looking at us, I bet they will love it! I predict 7000 Toon fans there.

    It'll be a nice way to ease the french lads into our support, first 5,000 in a meaningless friendly, then 50,000 against Arsenal!

    I did this at Hartlepool a few seasons back, greedy bastards first pre-season I think, didn't get any trouble like!

    Was wearing my toon shirt too!
