Just when I thought $ity & Chavski players had hit new greed highs/lows with their wage demands, I find this:
    http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/manchester-citys-kolo-toure-is-pricing-1146920
If this is accurate then these guys are in the sport for all the wrong reasons and its the mega rich of this world that are alienating the average supporter- doesn't matter what team.
I understand that they want to make the most of a short window of opportunity, but this is too much.
My sister supported Spurs when we were younger, but she now considers the premier league as too OTT and supports AFC Wimbledon simply because she wants to support a football team that play for the love of the game and consider being paid as a privilege not a right.
    Rant over!

my mate used to be a die-hard Chelski fan, until RA bought the club.he hated what the club turned into.as for Toure,he's not even the better player if the two brothers.

Hate to say it, but, " People are greedy, shock horror" we see it every day, in all walks of life. The " I'm all right, jack" attitude. O.k. Some people are more stupidly greedy than others, but it's not going to raise many eyebrows, to read this.

Sadly, I agree. I would bet the AFC Wimbledon players would be just the same if they moved to the top tier.

However I am willing to bet Toure's demands are just so that he doesn't lose out on the move. Isn't he on £100k+ a week with City and the deal mentioned in the report probably equates to a similar amount. As ever, the villain of the piece here is the likes of City or Chelski who distort the market for everyone else. If Toure can get £100k for sitting on his arse for a year or whatever, why would he uproot his family to live somewhere that is not everyone's cup of tea if it is not at least on a par with his current salary?

Agreed. Having been there on business, I would want a considerable incentive to even consider relocating there. I know guys who've done it. None last much more than 2 years, despite the money.

I expected worse when I read the headline.

Like others have said most people would demand at least the same money to move to a less desirable country.

Although Kolo Toure is a Muslim so maybe the Middle East might suit his lifestyle.
