Is our new midfield general the new Ian Ashby, reading the accounts of his display and the way he looks for every pass and tackle I think he might be, but he can't take away the legendry status of Ash.

Who's this Ashby you speak of?

Such a legend that you can't even spell his name correctly!

That's very good of you to do it just for me, but as I have only just started posting on here, how did you know I'd respond? :p

Not sure who you mean? Evans? McKenna? Both far, far better footballers than Ash but neither have his drive or leadership.

There'll never be another Ash. And I don't think the old one could play in this team either.

Guessing you're alluding to Mckenna? Giving us something in midfield that we've missed since Ash left.

I think its quite pertinent that our form is better with McKenna in the middle of the park alongside Evans, and while I`m impressed, the leadership qualities of Ashbee in his pomp are second to none i`ve seen while supporting the Tigers (40+ years), and that includes the team of 70/71.

McKenna was brilliant yesterday, my MotM. He wins every tackle and runs his socks off, but at the same time his passing is very good and he keeps us ticking. The ideal midfield 'general'.

Yes Ash was good, Boothferry Park was our old ground. All history now, I am looking to the future as a Member of the Barmby Army.

I am stunned, and a little big disgusted to be honest, that the most significant captain in our entire history HAS HIS NAME SPELLED INCORRECTLY ON A FANS FORUM.

This isnt the grammar police, this is the Tiger's History Police.
