With Bennett E. and Bennett R.
And Barnett too on view,
And Martin R. and Martin C.
And Rudd and Ruddy too,
When they´re all fit and vying for
A place in the A team,
Who´d be a commentator then
A real nightmarish dream,
But names aside we manoeuvred
Through this window again,
Keeping the best and adding to
Them with talented men,
How times have changed, since just a flap
Of money at the door,
Would set our hearts a fluttering
That we would lose one more,
Not so, these days of McNally
And Lambert, who in time,
Can spot and find those rough diamonds
Then polish them to shine,
And also turn vultures away
Who may be circling near,
At long last this transferring time´s
No longer one to fear. OTBC

Morning RBF!

We never get disappointed do we? They keep unearthing these lower-league treasures! Long may it continue, I don't care how difficult your line-up CPL becomes! <laugh>

Morning fellas,

Super, not content with confusing the opposition with his constant tactical switches, PL is now also determined to confuse them with identical surnames! <ok>

and dave,

I´d say we´re building nicely for the future, long-term, and not just a quick-fire fix, as some seem to be doing.

Brilliant RBF!

PL is now also determined to confuse them with identical surnames! <ok>

I like the idea of opposition managers reading our team sheet with those names on.

Also, if a manager is on the sideline shouting 'mark Bennett' the player would have no idea which one! Great idea by Lambert!

Forget pairs of surnames, we seem to get all our players in pairs from the same club:
Whitbred/Morrison = Millwall
Johnson/Howson = Leeds
Crofts/E Bennett = Brighton
R Bennett/R Martin/Drury = Peterborough
Ruddy/Vaughan = Everton
Fox/Tierney = Colchester

If we sign Rhodes then he can go with Pilkington to increase our number of feeder clubs even further!

Hmmm, actually, I share a surname with one of those duplicates. Time to tell my husband to dust off his old football boots and await Lambert's call. :emoticon-0103-cool:

Isn´t it the wrong shape ball for him, Yellows? :emoticon-0108-speec we don´t want him picking it up and running off with it <yikes>
