Take the first part of last season, Chamakh looked like a striker who could score goals out of nothing, similar to what Van Persie can do today.

What has happened to him to turn him into the ****e he is today?

I'm not so sure, he never struck me as a good signing last season and from what I rememebr he scored pretty much all his goals against the rags - didn't he disappear for a while as well for a rest ?
He was a free so no big money lost, but for my money he is now a bust and we should sell him on - if I'm honest I'd rather have B52 back in an Arsenal shirt than Chamakh...

  3. When RvP regained his fitness, Chamakh was unsurprisingly benched. I wonder if this may have affected his confidence but I do agree with Grizzly that perhaps we should accept the best offer we receive for him. He is unlikely to find a starting berth with the club and the less he plays, the less he can really play. The same with B52 really. as long as RvP stays fit, his form ( one hopes ) will continue. In fact since he regained fitness he has been outstanding. What we do need is a 2nd striker who can come in and simply get the goals. Before the January transfer window, we should play as much as we can to see what he is capable of. Tevez on loan anyone?

No, no, no! Im sorry but thats a ludicrous statement.

Chamakh has never looked anything more than a guy who will require chance after chance if he is going to score goals in a side that play our brand of football. He can't finish, even when he had that scoring run at the start of last season, he still fluffed several chances - he is a player who requires 5/6 clear cut chances before he kind find the net. The only thing he is good for is his head and we are never going to be a side that can offer hom that kind of service.

'Score goals out of nothing'? im sorry but that is far from the truth, he lacks skill, mobility and Incisiveness so be able to do something like that. If he is our back up striker all season then boy do we have a problem.

  5. I agree Mr GB that Chamakh did lack the incisiveness as was evident from last season. This sadly steadily worsened but again I wonder if a lack of first team action may have contributed to it. When this trait first appeared, I recall he was still scoring goals but then as his confidence ebbed away his performance became more wanting. I wonder how much the players are helped with their mental approach. It is often said that we concentrate a lot on technique but I think it is just as important to work on the mentality of this team. That way, we can hopefully avoid the falling apart syndrome that had been our Achilles Heel for awhile now.

I think he just doesn't have the confidence to play as a backup striker, would be better for everyone if he is moved on and we buy someone better.

I think when he first came he was happy and pumped up to be playing for arsenal and starting aswell so he came good, now he's not starting, been dropped not getting constant games and it's REALLY showing!

plus the fact hes mainly about the heading, and i could cross with my cock better than we do
