What films have you seen recently. Cinema, TV, DVD, PC etc. Doesn't matter where or how you saw it. What did you think of it. 1. Arrietty - brilliant new Studio Ghibli film. Japanese adaptation of the Borrowers. Beautiful hand drawn animation. Bit of social commentry on banking crisis. Great for kids and adults. Enchanting and with a great message. 2. Kung Fu Panda 2- decent sequel. beautiful animation. Fast pacing. Funny. Very silly though. 3. The conspirator - great historical film. Great performances. Very bleak though. 4. X Men first class - okay. Better than it could have been given how rushed it was. Some very dodgy effects and some very stilted poor dialogue and sound mixing in places. Entertaining though.
1. Horrible Bosses - Pretty funny film worth a watch 2. Harry Potter - Amazing film, great effects and a great way to end it all Cant remember any after that tbf
horrible bosses was alright, one who had jennifer anniston as a boss got a bit tedious at times but the rest were great. watched the veteran last night, had the guy out of rocknrolla in it, great british film, action sequence on a council estate at the end was superb!
i watched this classic last week, dont make them like this much anymore..
Cinema = Hangover 2. Not a patch on the first 1. Laughed in parts, but just the same as the 1st one. DVD = The King's Speech. Excellent, deserved all the awards it got. TV = The Mummy. Always good to watch.
Cinema - Last film at the Cinema was Harry Potter. It was visually impressive but I spent most of the time wondering about plot holes and who half of the people where. DVD - Fight Club. My girlfriend had never seen it so it was a must. Amazing film. TV - Life. Eddie Murphy at his best, really hilarious at points.

Don't go to the pictures much as everything a bloody rip off, even on Orange Wednesdays. Hull is supposed to be the cheapest when comparing prices nationally. Don't get the 3D craze. It's more money for very little back, maybe a few seconds of something different to what you get in a 2D picture. Maybe they should just put the money into something else. Went to see the Harry Potter film a few weeks ago at Prinny Quay. Hardly ever seen any of them before and never read any of the books. Took a while to know who half of them were. Saw that 127 Hours film. Mate got ill watching him cut off his arm and ran outside to be sick but took the wrong turn and tried to get out the fire exit. It was him trying not to faint in front of a full audience and us pissing ourselves. For those who've seen it you'll know it's hardly a comical film, so people were looking round to see what was so funny.
