Traveller we have not been good enough. Too many things have gone wrong or not addressed. M'bia cost us yesterday due to in discipline, the same in discipline that got him sent off at Arsenal and cost us the game. Bobby with that stupid challenge when we need 11 players on the pitch? Arry taking off Remy and bring on Mackie with 4 minutes to go? Adel ducking? Buying AJ only to be injured all season. Selling Helguson? Not beating Reading/Villa/Norwich/Everton at home. Missing crucial pens. panic buying. Mark Hughes. Wrong formations...
The list goes on and on and sadly with all this going against you, you really have an up hill battle.
The club needs a complete re structure (new stadium/Training ground/Academy) and good team ethics. Get players in that will play for the club and not have egos.
If we do that then we will come back stronger otherwise we will rot in the lower leagues.

Cheers Fulham. It is very strange indeed. I'm sorry about your dosh - as per the other thread, we've cost you a lot!

I actually don't accept this 'not playing as a team thing'. I think we play fine as a team. It is too many individual errors within that team that is the problem.

Hope to see you in 16 months too but I am not counting any chickens just now!

Hey FT, hang on to your ticket, the bookies aren't paying out just yet.

For the first time in many many years I'm actually looking forward to the close season. Won't have those butterflies in the tummy on Fridays and Saturdays and then avoiding MOTD that night and Sunday. No post-mortems and if onlys to look forward to. Normality, or close to it. Can't wait.

As we all know, we have made too many mistakes on and off the pitch and these need to be addressed and sorted. I agree with your earlier comment about:
As no player wants to lose but it's sometimes hard to believe when players like Boswinga refuse to play because they are sub? Arry also said that there were splits in the dressing room when he arrived, all of this cannot be good for a team.
Seriously our club needs to sort itself out before we can ever move forward.

I wish people wouldn't rip into our players to blame them FFS ... Wigan bloke played for the free kick ... ifs buts and maybe's FFS should we blame Remy for hitting the post.

I was there it was awful to feel the swing from joy to despair but move on you cannot change anything now just believe in this team until the last kick ... that's the time to moan if any

No one is ripping into the players I am just stating that refusing to play because you are a sub is unprofessional and causes splits in the team. Although I do blame M'bia for being a clumsy twat in this game and at Arsenal

The most frustrating thing for me is that even after all the **** that's gone before, had we beaten villa, fulham and Wigan - all games we should have won, we'd be in with a great shout. Too much giving up too early. Maybe we still are.

I see where you are coming from mate, but we, as loyal fans, have been let down badly by the players this season. Not just in one game, but in almost every game. Stupid individual errors and poor performances have been a constant throughout the season.

I will still support the team, and will be there next season whatever division we are in, but my god its hard not to rip into these so called footballers. Of course I wont rip into them as its not going to help anyone. But we have been let down as a club by the playing staff.

I thinkmif we could have relied on one or two consistent performances from just a couple of players all season to rely upon we'd have been ok. If we'd had Townsend for 18 games and kept Nelson, I reckon we would have been safer. Ifs of course, mean nothing, but I do not think we were/are far off what is needed for PL survival, such a shame it has taken so long.

if you would of get the 7 points you deserved you would of been almost safe with stoke home, nufc home and reading away, and the squad is better this season than last

It surprises me that our odds for staying up are not longer (8/1) and would make a nice double with ManC winning the title (40/1) after last night's result but somehow or other I wouldn't bet on it.
