    are we?

its like suicide watch on here, nothing but negativity apart from a handful , who'l think we'l push on from whats happened. Its as though barmby was the messiah get a grip crikey,

Isnt the favourite for the job billy davies?

i might be wrong here but hasnt every championship team he managed got to the playoffs? has an excellent record, if i had to pick between barmby and davies sentiment aside itd be davies every time as a manager.

time to move on , and start backing the team instead of griping about every bit of news that comes out.

I think most of the sane fans sit back and let the doo mongers get on with it.

There's a lot of interesting stuff on here and CI, but you have to pick through the usual suspects to get to it.

Some people are so happy being miserable that it's a shame to give them a positive angle.

    Edit,
I was going to add the missing 'm' to the end of 'doo', but I think it's possibly more accurate as it is.

Agree with all you say, reading some of the hatred and crap that eminates from some on here, it makes me ashamed to be a City supporter at times.
Some of you posters should just form a lynch mob and visit the KC and hang the owners because they are such bad people for sacking an employee who happened to be manager, even NB said himself ages ago that he did not know who was going to be manager next season, FFS give your heads a bang and stop being so damn insulting and condesending no matter who's side you are on, everyone has a right to an opinion on here without being insulted like a certain member complained of earlier, shame on you.

nothing fickle as folk, we just seem to moan more than most.

ive seen posts about us plunging down the leagues etc and appointing gregg abbott would cause a riot, what a load of dramatic bollocks. Seems alot of the jeremy kyle fodder get there drama fix on here.

Seems those 2 years in the PL spoiled some of our fans.

As soon as we get back to normal and have a couple of decent mid table finishes (could 8th even be considered above mid table) nobody's happy any more.

There's far too much sensationalism around as well.

I'm getting bored of it all.

The sooner the season starts the better......

...... a summer of discontent probably awaits, but I only support Hull City for the football side of things - when all is said and done.

John's got a point. A thread moaning about too much moaning. Sounds like a Monty Python sketch.

When you consider some of the things that has happened to this club you could say the events of the last 2 weeks are relativley positive ....

We're not exactly the most stable club ever are we... there's always something going on at city and most of it is pretty negative at times. Although I do agree we tend to dwell on the negative rather than move on and look forward to the future. Only problem with that is its one thing after another... Recently its been relegation, debt, new manager, new owners, manager leaving, new manager... manager fired etc... all in the space of a few years.

I think that is the reason for such negativity in all honesty.. there's always something happening at the club.

There are some who moan endlessly and some who hate friction so much that they accept everything that is thrown at them and then try to put a cheery face on it.
Most of us were over the moon to have a City fan as manager. Most of us have nothing but respect for what he has done over the years for the club and most of us admired his honesty.
The Allam's have every right to hire and fire whoever they want, but the way this was done and the petty reasons offered to justify it are disrespectful and insulting to someone who deserved better.
The fact is that what happened was a significant event for this club, so it's hardly surprising that fans want to talk about it. In a nutshell the way the whole thing was handled just isn't British.

You didn't like Barmby as a player?

I can live with people taking one side or another, I can live with opinions on our manager and our owner, but how anyone could not like Nick as a player is completely beyond me.

I'm quite excited actually, a new manager with fresh impetus might make us rock next season. Bring it on.

You should know by now that we are only happy when we're miserable.

Something that has to be put in perspective, Not 606 Hull City is one of the most active boards on the site. People with an axe to grind are more likely to use the web to promote their view. So it is hardly a shock to find a high level of disencanted fans on here.
We also represent a very small proportion of the fan base.

If you factor in the above, it could be said that there is an equal split of fans who are upset to see Nick Barmby sacked and those who either could not care less who the manager is or welcome the change.

I am not unhappy to see Nick Barmy leave, just not too happy that he was sacked.
I support the Allams but would also be supportive of new owners should they sell.
I also have never been a supporter of Adam Pearson, but do understand what he set out to do and admire some of the things he did.
I never liked Nigel Pearson before, during or after his time with us.
When a new manager comes in I may not be as supportive to him as I was to Nick Barmby.
