Back on topic the £££ earnings gulf between us and the rest is quite staggering.

 

I'll pay you millions.... just send me your bank details and my dead aunt will oblige....

 

What's amazing is that the championship sneaks in at number 8. No wonder so many clubs there are in financial doo doo.

 

You've just got to laugh.

So far ahead in terms of money and yet so far behind in terms of English talent.

 

Scary when you consider the quality of players from countries like The Netherlands, Argentina, Belgium, Scandinavia, etc. and yet the Championship still lays more than all of them! Crazy!

 

But keeping sex out of it , they even pay more as well.

Shocking really ..but why we can rock up in France and offer to double your salary to players like Cabs etc

It isn't good for the game though. I tend to think the championship salaries are weighted towards the 3 newly relegated teams, and hence why your normal average Championship side that has never been promoted will be totally unable to compete with the QPR's etc.

the money has fractured the PL into 3 or 4 mini leagues and is doing the same with the championship league.. Still, as Sky keep shouting at us ..best league in the world blah blah blah

That said the division of money in la liga is ...gobsmackingly unfair

Out of control, no wonder all the foreign lads come here! Definite blocker to English talent. More of this money needs pumped into grass roots etc.

 

The income for the Championship is still in Top 10, and some distance more than other countries top divisions.
When you consider the rewards for being promoted to the PL, its hardly surprising that they pay out more in wages.
A big incentive and s*** or bust really for some clubs.
