Mr H has got is defensively sound and now we need to add that link from defence to attack I'm hoping to see Holt and Becchio get a go together at the weekend but do you think this will provide the release we need? I have only seen Becchio play twice at Carrow Road and he fell asleep in one if those matches thanks to our Mr Nelson so don't really know what he is going to add and playing the Holt role last time out did not allow him to show his worth as something different
What do you think will be the benefit of a Holt / Becchio front line if Mr H goes that way?

I'd like to think it'll make us much more dangerous from crosses. Holt is often found wide, leaving Wessi as the only target in the centre, as nobody else goes forward enough. Whether a 4-4-2 sacrifices Hoolahan or Tettey (assuming no other radical changes), there should still be a greater target for Snodgrass (or whoever) to aim for. I don't think he's at full fitness yet, but I'd like to see us play 4-2-3-1, but with Kamara on the left, with instructions to push on and get into the box when the ball is on the opposite flank. Hoolahan could hopefully be instructed to help cover any gaps caused by Kamara being too far forward.

Wes could move to the left in a 4-4-2, but my concern is that a four man midfield would actually reduce the number of scoring chances (City had 15 shots, 8 on target against Fulham) and would allow Everton to dominate the midfield and possession overall. I think the Kamara option is a possibility for the second half, DH, but he's not match-fit enough to start games yet.

We just seem to have a more defensive feel now irrespective of the formation and the actual players involved. Somehow I struggle now to see us scoring more than one and I think that Everton are well capable of getting a couple. It is a very nervy time when we are increasingly relying on teams below us continuing their respective poor form and with a couple of games this weekend seeing those teams play each other it puts the pressure more on getting some return at CR against the Toffees.

I think CH will play the standard 4-4-1-1 set-up on Saturday with two DM's in play to cover the Fellaini threat.

Everton changed to that formation on Sunday after playing 4-4-2 first half and Fellaini came into the game a lot more - I think they'll adopt a similar formation on Saturday with Fellaini in the hole and as a result Hughton I think will adopt a similar style to nullify him.

Could be wrong but seems to fit our current mode of thinking.

I hope to be proven wrong but I too can see 4-4-1-1 with two DM's holding onto a 0-0 until three minutes from the end when CH makes an attacking sub!

To be honest I would take a point against Everton and I'd rather suffer through another gruesome 0-0 than have the lads travel up to Old Trafford on the back of a defeat. That said wouldn't a win be fantastic - I've started to forget what one feels like!

I think Everton will try to make a game of it and therefore the entertainment value should be a lot better than the cold stodge we saw against the Nukes and Fulham. The game against Everton at CR last year was the best of the season imo and I'm hoping for similar on Saturday and would also take a point.
