So now you've got to believe it, The Ming is number one.

We have TWO good keepers. I rate Ming, cracking buy and could turn into a great keeper. Flash is one of THE outstanding shot stoppers I've seen, and he's still improving on crosses and commanding his box.

At present, Flash is still #1 for me, not by a country mile! Having 2 good keepers fighting for the starting role is essential as injuries happen, form can dip, confidence of keepers can be fragile and competition keeps them both on their toes.

I agree with 59 but flash needs to be on his toes, Ming is looking better every time he plays.

Morning Syd - Doesn't the world look that bit better today? Good point at the Goooners, Everton did us a treat at St Sportsdirect.com park, and we're looking forward now - not back.

i'm with Rokerlad on this but only just. I think the stats might tell a different story though. Pretty sure the Ming's record on games played and clean sheets kept is better. Difficult to isolate the keeper from the back 4 in front of him though and they have both - Ming and Flash - played behind a variety of back 4's this season with varying results.
As Roker said what we can agree on is we have 2 good keepers anything else is increasingly difficult to judge. Brucie seems quicker to publically criticise Flash in my opinion too - and if this the case might give a clue to the long term direction of travel:

Blackcat, I reckon you have it spot mate in

We do, and it will be interesting to say the least, if one (or both) can crack on to become great keepers??

In my opinion, Gordon let's himself down when dealing with crosses, so I would say that I prefer Mignolet in goal...

I dont think it will be easy for the club to hang on to 2 class keepers . althoug both keepers have had some great games my money is on the mig to stay and gordon to move on .Wherehe will he go ? I have no idea . I think Gordons game has dropped ever since there has been talk of a big club coming sniffing around . which always seems the case.

Now this is where I disagree with the "Flash will be sold" thoughts. Where will he go? We know Manure are looking for replacement for VDS, Wenger looks as if it's Szczesny for him, Chelski - Cech, Citeh - Hart, Spuds - Gomes, Pool - Reina.

If he were to be sold, would he go to one of the above? I don't think it likely at all. Going sideways (Villa, Everton - I regard us as on a par with these) will not generate the fee that I reckon SB will demand, so abroad?? Don't think so either.

For me I reckon we'll see them both at the SoL for the next couple of years - I could be wrong though and maybe someone to look to pick up the Ming relatively cheap??

I believed this earlier in the season when Mignolet was having a great run standing in for Gordon and think that in the long run we'll end up with him as the regular keeper and Gordon will go. Nothing wrong with Gordon though, great keeper and a valuable asset.

Both have done well this season.
For me only seeing games on tv Mig is shading it very slightly as he's better on crosses than flash.
Do think we'll lose one of them in the summer as both will want to be number 1 son

I think Gordon is an excellent keeper and Mignolet will only get better. My worry is every season Goedon picks up an injury which keeps him out of the side for a few games. We need both keepers as both will get their chance during the season.

Great to have two keepers who can perform well. I'm concerned about Gordon's fitness as he seems to have injury problems most seasons. If a big money offer came in for him I would accept and go for a proven keeper to allow Ming to continue to develop for another season or two. Given in the summer anyone?

The world indeed looks better today, on Friday night my grandson was born, on Saturday we held Arsenal to a 0-0 draw with our defence & goalkeeper playing out of their skins & having a bit of luck helps, then Everton beat the mags at sid James's, yep, personally a weekend to remember for all the right reasons

Last year he debate was who was better, Gordon or Fulop.
This year its Gordon or The Ming.
If Gordon is the outright No. 1 why are so many supporters split over who is No.1 & why is it always so close.
Surely this means a big money offer for Gordon should be accepted!
