Mr Cook has been admirable in his reluctance to chop and change the L 2 team. However, circumstances may be about to force some changes.

Doyle and Atangana have been a successful ball winning pairing in the defensive mid field from all reports. However, Doyle will now be suspended and apparently Atangana had a poor game at Oxford (and was possibly not fit).
Who else do we have in the ball winning category? Perhaps Dunne fits the bill. Barton apparently impressed on the ball at Oxford but is he a ball winner? Having reputably played in central defence before perhaps he is.

Hollands and Close I take to be good possession players - which would suit the ,'Cook preferred Style' but would their inclusion leave us short of ball winners?

The attacking mid field seems a little easier. Evans appears to have faded a little after a good start and Bennett gets mixed reports. apparently an occasional flair player rather than a constant threat. However, Roberts will come back in and Chaplin must be retained - if fit - while he has the goal touch. so the attacking mid field is less of a problem.

Speaking of the 'the goal touch' Tubbs very limited opportunities worry me. Certainly it would be hard to drop McQurck on current form. Stockley appears to be able hold the ball up and has presence but does not score many goals. Tubbs lacks physical presence but has the 'goal touch.' The 'goal touch' is a rarer skill in my opinion and I would like to see Tubbs given more of a run. I fear he may be tempted to leave at Christmas and presumably Stockley can be taken off loan at any time.

Anyway, all of the above is based on newspaper reports only and is intended to promote comment from those that have seen some of the matches.
