In Snoddy's absence, I think Michael Brown's quickly becoming my new favourite Leeds player. He's a horrible bastard and I like it. So I open this thread to ask for any contributions to this shrine to our great holding midfielder, and his filthy, filthy tackling. I'll start with the news that he's crocked Barnsley golden boy Jacob Butterfield for the entire season with his tackle at Oakwell. Ruptured his anterior cruciate ligaments. please log in to view this image Feels like a quantum of solace after some of the drubbings we've been handed by them lately. MBIFB!
You need to be tough in this league, but we are better than using the old dirty Leeds tag... I have seen too many clubs come to Elland Road getting away murder, because referees only punish "dirty Leeds". Lets move on and not give the Football League easy excuses to punish us.
been our best player for the past 3 games! yet on the bench for burnley! At barnsley leeds fans were jeering up the players and browny looked up. and said "i ****ing know" class
i said this on another thread. hes 35 and put in a big shift at barnsley, then we had the burnley game less than 48hrs later, he will have been rested most likely, and that was the correct decision
Love watching that video Simon, makes me grin every time! And Monster, that is brilliant he might have lost a couple of yards of pace from his younger days, but he still has the passion and ability. Not just a clogger either, he can play some great through balls and could actually partially solve the problem of our lack of playmakers. He set up a fair few chances at Barnsley. It's easy to overlook him as a creative player just because he's hard. Here's a top challenge from the game at Derby last week: please log in to view this image WELL IN BROWNY! Logi, I agree he was probably rested because of fatigue rather than performances.
Hopefully between them Brown, Pugh and Thompson can solve our DM problem. Only midfield position needing filled now IMO is a creative midfielder to give Clayton some competition. What an arse Butterfield is being now: http://www.barnsley-chronicle.co.uk/sport/article/4816 Get lost Butterfield you melodramatic little ****ter. Enjoy a career of mediocrity, and keep those conspiracy theories going. MBIFB
He'd better make future tackles a bit more subtle than a few of those - both feet studs up = red card. A 'professional foul' is one the ref (and TV) doesn't spot! How Gerrard got away with that elbow is beyond belief. Game back in the 70's was different though - no snipers in the stand, no swallow dives with double twist when tripping over a blade of grass and no crying in front of the ref. Does anyone have a link (if its on t'web) of the time that a modern ref watched a recording of us play Chelsea in 1970(?) and he said he would of awarded about 4 reds and 10 yellows or something?
It just gets better and better. We're front page headline news in the Daily Star today for God's sake!
Robbie Savage spent his entire career revelling in winding up Opposition fans, he cant expect it to stop once he becomes a pundit
I always thought of Michael Brown as being a perfect signing for Leeds, it's a pity it's happened at the end of his career. He'll be a fan favourite just for hitting Keown!
